14 reasons Barack Obama will never win Father of the Year

Is there no aspect of our lives into which Barack Obama will not meddle? Now the government has put up a new website called fatherhood.gov where Obama dispenses advice about how to be a good father.

But is he really qualified to give such counsel?

The liberal meme says that Barack Obama is not only the Greatest President in History, but also the Greatest Father in History. Turns out the latter is just as demonstrably false as the former and that Obama violates every tenet of good liberal parenting.

Here are fourteen reasons liberals should condemn President Obama’s meager parenting skills:

1. He smokes

According to the doctor’s report issued after the President’s last annual physical, “…Mr. Obama, 48, continues to struggle to stop his 30-year smoking habit and needs to modify his diet, said Dr. Jeffrey Kuhlman, a Navy captain who led the medical team that performed Mr. Obama’s physical.

2. He sets a bad example by riding his bicycle without a helmet

3. Had a known terrorist and attempted cop killer babysit his daughters

Rumors abound about the close relationship between Obama and unrepentant terrorist William Ayers: “I live in Obama’s neighborhood and know some of the Obama/Ayers crowd. Ayers and Dohrn have babysat the Obama kids personally. The families are personal friends, not just professional acquaintances.”

4. Neglects his daughters’ spiritual needs

After 20 years of regular worship at Reverend Wright’s church, Obama has stopped attending church since he was elected. The Daily Caller reports:

Barack Obama promised change for the country, but one of the biggest changes for him as president was that he stopped going to church.

Obama and his family left the White House only twice in 2009 to attend worship services in Washington, raising questions about the role of faith in the life of the president who made Christianity a cornerstone of his political ascent but was also burned by his pastor of 20 years during the presidential campaign.

5. Drinks too excess

The same doctors’ report that advised the President to stop smoking also implied that the President may have a drinking problem. As the Guardian UK reported, “The doctors also recommended ‘moderation of alcohol intake’.”

6. Sets a bad example by eating unhealthy food

Holding a plate of Southern food, POTUS joked to the press: “I don’t want any lectures about my cholesterol. Don’t tell Michelle”. That of course stems from the results of his physical last Sunday.
The set menu here includes: fried chicken, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese, collard greens, cream corn, biscuits, corn bread, macaroni salad, turnips, green beans, BBQ pulled pork, blueberry pudding and banana pudding.

7. Cancels family vacations at the last minute because he has to work

Imagine the heartbreak the First Daughters suffered when their father canceled their eagerly-awaited family vacation so he could stay home and work on ObamaCare.

Politico reports:

President Barack Obama is delaying his trip to Indonesia and Australia by three days in hopes of finalizing a health care deal — and will scrap plans to take along first lady Michelle Obama and his two daughters, according to senior administration officials.On Thursday, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs brushed aside suggestions that the president planned to postpone or cancel the long-planned trip to his childhood home in Indonesia, even as Hill Democrats groused that the excursion came at the precise time he demanded they finalize a deal.

8. Publicly humiliates his older daughter by announcing to the world that the she was overweight

“A couple of years ago — you’d never know it by looking at her now — Malia was getting a little chubby,” Mr. Obama told the magazine.

They took action, Mrs. Obama said, when “her doctor — he really monitors this type of thing — suggested we look at her diet. So we cut out juice boxes, sweets and processed foods.”

9. Takes his daughters out for sugar-filled ice cream treats despite a doctor’s report that the girls are pudgy and need to cut out the sweets

Barack Obama spent quality time with his daughters Malia and Sasha over the weekend, taking them for an ice cream…The happy trio all had vanilla custard ice creams at The Dairy Godmother parlour in Alexandria a few miles from the executive mansion. And the US President, who has something of a sweet tooth, added hot fudge and toasted almonds to his order.

And again in Yellowstone Park:

The next day they took a helicopter ride to Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming and accompanied by his sister Maya Soetoro-Ng her husband Konrad and their daughter, the party drove through the park in a motorcade, took an official tour with Park Ranger Katy Duffy and even stopped at the Old Faithful General Store where the President and Malia deliberated over which flavor ice cream to purchase.

10. Undermines his wife’s authority by encouraging his daughters to disobey orders behind her back.

Mrs. Obama cuts all sweets and processed foods out of the girls’ diets, but the President secretly takes them out for ice cream. (See items 8 and 9)

11. Publicly humiliates Malia again by announcing that her grades weren’t good enough.

World Net Daily reports the embarrassment suffered by older daughter Malia:

President Obama … yesterday divulged his daughter Malia scored a 73 on a sixth-grade science test.

Obama went into unusual detail about Malia’s 73, telling a Wisconsin school audience his 11-year-old daughter recently “became depressed,” explaining that in the Obama household “our goal is 90 percent and up” on school tests.

12. Duties of the president are very time-consuming, yet chooses to spend inordinate amounts of his free time playing golf and basketball instead of with his children.

WhiteHouseDossier.com reports on the parental neglect:

President Barack Obama has played a remarkable 41 rounds of golf since becoming president, easily outpacing his predecessor and possibly damaging his ability to portray himself in 2012 as a populist advocate of average folks.

With the excursions lasting on average at least five hours, the president has devoted a total of more than 200 hours to golf, not counting time spent on the White House putting green. That’s the equivalent of twenty five eight-hour work days, or five work weeks spent smacking golf balls.

13. Makes fun of Malia’s braces in public

Even Politico.com recognized the faux pas Obama committed by discussing a pre-teen’s braces in public:

This is one way to earn a “Not cool, Dad…” comment from your daughter: Talk about her new braces while giving a speech.But President Barack Obama did just that Thursday while delivering remarks in Kansas City at a fundraiser for Senate candidate Robin Carnahan.

“You know, the — I don’t have teenagers yet — Malia’s just turned 12,” said Obama, according to a pool report. “She’s my baby. She’s going — even though she’s 5’9″ now, she’s still my baby. And she just got braces, which is good, because she looks like a kid and she was getting — she’s starting to look too old for me.”

14. Obviously favors one daughter over the other

Repeatedly humiliates his older daughter, but never criticizes the younger one in public. (See items 9, 10 and 12)
