About that surprise California budget “surplus”: There’s no surprise and no surplus either. “Today we learn the ‘surprise’ $5-billion bump in revenue in January is likely an accounting anomaly as a result of tax changes.” Should we ask if the pols spent the “surplus” already and are now even deeper in the hole? Or maybe let it be another “surprise”.

Yes, & they get rewarded at election time as well. California gets what it bloody deserves, & then many will move out to escape the bs. They then start voting for the very same types of politicians who then start doing what destroyed their old state.
