Al Sharpton to Jackson kids: “Wasn’t nothin’ strange about your daddy.”

July 8, 2009, 7:10 am · 5 comments

What’s strange to you may not be strange to someone else. But surely we can all agree that Al Sharpton’s comments at yesterday’s Michael Jackson Memorial Service & Three-Ring Circus were very damn strange.

“Wasn’t nothin’ strange about yo’ daddy,” Sharpton said to Jackson’s children. “It was strange what yo’ daddy had to deal with.”

Psyco-babble from Fat Al? Saints preserve us! Rev. Jerri Curl is an authority on strange behavior though. After all, it was his astute observation that it was white folks masquerading as blacks who ransacked N’Awlins after Katrina hit town that established Rev. Lardton’s rep as a societal pundit without peer, right?

No, nothing at all Fat Albert.

I frequently have the desire to carry around a chimp, or a small television star, when I am out and about….

Puhlease, spare me! Trotting MJ’s kids out into the limelight with their fathers coffin in the background was the ultimate act of disrespect – to them! Who in their right mind would subject a pre-teen to that kind of scrutiny? A scrutiny forever preserved on tape no less, talk about cashing in on the moment! As for MJ himself, he long ago ceased being a man worthy of respect. He was a freakish parody of what he used to be, more deserving of pity than anything else. And as for Fat Al Sharptoon, phuk him.
