American malaldy: Post-Traumatic Stupidity Syndrome. In the wake of the Sandy Hook shootings, we are suffering from PTSS: “Folks in the throes of PTSS are so traumatized by a tragic event that they immediately demand something – ANYTHING – be done to prevent it from ever occurring again. Even if the chances of it happening are one in a million. Even if the ‘preventative measures’ proposed are wacky, wasteful, ridiculous – or worse.” Factors aggravating PTSS are watching too much TV, especially MSNBC and CNN.

Sounds like a government exclusive malady.
Look at FEMA and their handling of the post Sandy aid.

I’m SMH after reading some of the stupid responses to Sandy Hook from this lady’s blog. Who in hell are these people that are running our schools? What whackos! What mental midgets! Taking car keys? What are they going to do if you tell them, “Oh, I didn’t drive, I walked. Don’t have any car keys.” Are they going to search you? Oh! Think about the job creation! A new branch of the TSA! Cheeezzzzeee!

When it comes to PTSS, CNN makes it worse because that stands for Constantly Nattering Nabobs.

MSNBC is just code for crap.

Fox is already cowering down to the president…

In response to President Obama’s complaint that FOX doesn’t show enough Black and Hispanic people on their network, FOX has announced today that they will now air, “America ‘s Most Wanted” twice a week.

This is reminding me of the Challenger explosion. People were shouting, “Oh, my God! That was horrible! Why are we exploring space anyway? We need to stop!” …because… seven…. people… died. Seven people who knew they were taking a huge risk, and were delighted to do so. Even though it’s still more dangerous to be a cabbie than an astronaut, people were screaming that we need to stop space exploration.

People are irrationally ruled by visuals… and those who manufacture the images on our TVs know it.
