American Muslims speak out against the enforcement of shari‘ah law in America. “Islamic Coalition announces support for Michigan legislation that will bar state courts from enforcing ‘foreign law’ above U.S. and state constitution.” Wait. We need legislation to prevent this from happening?

Yes, apparently we need the legislation. The precedent of using foreign law has been set already. Or at least that is what one of the Supremes said, while undoubtedly ruling on no other basis than his own notions of what is right.
I applaud the Muslims who support this initiative, though part of me still considers it at least slightly possible that they are simply lying to the infidels to further the jihad.

Oh come now, we don’t have anything to fear from the “Religion of Peace”, right?

Yes I do have a lot to fear. It is actually the religion of pieces. One hand hacked off for touching a man not my family member, one leg hacked off for being an infidel, one head chopped off for being raped by Muslim men that couldn’t keep their disgusting thoughts and desires to themselves, but it was my fault somehow… I like my body as it is, and I would like to live as much as possible. Shariah will have me mutilated, overtaxed, imprisoned, raped, tortured, and/or murdered within a year of being implemented. It is not a good thing, I am sure that every fair minded person would agree.

What this bill is saying it is that American muslims are putting the Constitutional laws of America before the laws of their former countires. I have hope this will be a good turning point for many here.

So we’re basically creating a law that says the legal system has to enforce the law of the land.
If we pass a law that says our legal system has to enforce the law, will we then need to pass a law that says they have to enforce the law that says they have to enforce the law? And will we need to pass a law that says they have to enforce THAT law? And then…
…I can keep this going all day.

No, it’s about time Americans spoke up. I don’t care if your religion of choice is Muslim, Baptist, Catholic or Mooney as long as you are an American first and foremost.
All this “name your thing-hyphen-American” crap pisses me off to no end. Either you are an American or not. If not, take your ass back to where you came from because I am sick of it.

Then the ACLU will jump on the bandwagon, about how wrong enforcing the law of the land is. With these liberal smucks, you’d be hard pressed to ban smoking in a propane tank.

“Wait. We need legislation to prevent this from happening?” Exactly. It is my understanding that the Constitution covered this. Am I wrong?

Too many judges as well. When you have jackasses like Breyer & Ginsberg who buy into foreign caselaw when convenient, & I’m sure the 2 clowns Obama appointed do as well. Any judge, no matter what court they are at, who uses foreign law should be out, period. Traffic court to the Supreme Court, I don’t care, they need to go.

If I remember right, Oklahoma tried to pass anti-shariah laws and they repealed it. Something about it was unconstitutional towards RELIGEON. So maybe a few rednecks figured it was alright to stone the wife to death since she scrambled the eggs instead of making overeasy. I hope they do outlaw shariah. Women are for loving and spoiling–not BBQing or stoning.

I didn’t mean to be offensive toward rednecks. I’ve got several in the family. It was a bad analogy. I do think it was bad that the courts didn’t pass protection for women.
