America’s first media whore president now granting interviews to children

August 15, 2009, 5:11 pm · 9 comments

Reporter Damon Weaver sat down with President Obama at the White House on Thursday. Nothing odd about that. Except for one thing: Damon is an 11-year old sixth grader from Florida.

According to the Palm Beach Sun-Sentinel, “Damon has been angling for an interview with Obama since before the election. He was in Washington, D.C., for the presidential inauguration in January, and then again in June to accept a Shortie Award, in an international competition honoring student film and news productions. While there, he toured part of the West Wing of the White House and received a congratulatory letter from Biden.”

Now that Obama is wearing thin on the major TV networks, he has moved his charm offensive down the demographic ladder in an attempt to appeal to voters who won’t be able cast their ballots until he runs for his third term in 2016.

The man has never met a camera he didn’t love.

He’s a great campaigner. Too bad he’s trying to run the country as one big campaign. Perhaps this kid is the only one who still believe in him.

no. ray. I still believe in obama too. I think his tactics are just far different from any of the others and “we” reject anything that is not the norm. It is way way too soon to pass any judgement such as we are. And I do not think that his appearances on the media are campaigning, he is just trying to keep us informed. So unlike Bush (the obvious moron, and those who cannot see that are scary. honestly. It was so apparent that Bush DID NOT CARE and didn’t have the smarts(i’m not going to say intelligence, cause he’s so removed from that word), his being voted in IS politics at its height. He didn’t want that position, that was obvious as well. Voters vote for reasons like: they like the little twins. And I mean that seriously, voters vote on crap like that. I am from middle class (Wis) and I know how they think. It’s real bad, so ignorant it is scary. Alot of people do not know from the middle class. They(mid. class) know “NOTHING” nothing at all about politics, history, etc. it’s terrible, truly terrible!

I haven’t watched any TV “news” today to know for certain if it was covered as a “major news story”, but there was a news-crawl on a Toronto news station today that was bragging about the 0 catching three (IIRC) trout. Is there nothing the MSM won’t blow this guy over? (Like the setup “interview” with the kid.)

Isn’t PETA going to get mad about the trout?

Congratulate me, I watched to 1:40! That was all I could take.

With cuts, how can schools be improved was the question, and the partial answer I heard was the usual – we plan to take money we don’t have and flush it in order to make it look like we are doing something about the problem. Let’s have a party, Dear Leader has a plan to improve education. Nice to know that as a veteran teacher my work just doesn’t cut it, they will pay for educating and training new teachers though. Maybe because some of us still don’t drink the kool aid so they have to work on replacing us with drones who won’t teach kids to think. What next? Maybe we can provide mandatory end of career counseling for teachers so they/we can know when to hang em up! Or, even better, some bureaucrat can write all of the lesson plans and just post teachers in classrooms to maintain some discipline.

Dear Leader, grow up. Take some demanding questions from a real reporter and give us your ideas on real solutions to problems. I am getting tired of the campaign, aren’t you?

where’s the answer for Major Garett, does it count less because the question is a bit more sophisticated. What will history finally have to say about the credibility of our print & televison media’s current state of denial?

I’m a person of color that voted for you as an INDPENTDENT. My mistake! Maybe I’m not as cute, but if you would like to interview me & you may find questions a bit more challenging to the agenda you espouse !!!!!!
