Another administration official expresses admiration for communist China. This time it’s Jeffrey Immelt, chairman of the president’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness: “The one thing that actually works, state run communism a bit – may not be your cup of tea, but their government works.” IHTM interpretation: “Anybody who disagrees with the government disappears into a dungeon, which is real handy.”

Shoot dissidents; charge their next of kin 35 cents for the bullet.

Democrats lay awake at night fantasizing of a system like that. It’s what they think about when they spank the monkey.

…which I think he’s doing in that picture.

I’ve always heard of it being called turning Japanese. But he’s probably geographically challenged too.

Communist China works (Jeff Immmelt), Fascist Italy worked (the trains ran on time), Lenin’s Soviet Union was a success (“I have seen the future and it works.”–Lincoln Steffens), Nazi Germany worked (Joe Kennedy admired it).

Some people admire totalitarian regimes because they “work”, they admire centralized planing and coercive rule by the political elites. They see these regimes as examples for the United States to follow. That the people who stand in the way of this progress get trampled underfoot is of little concern.

I wonder how Immelt would feel when that plan runs it’s course, and he is stripped of his position, his wealth, and is banished to Siberia.

These idiots all think they’ll be in charge when it’s all over. Guess they never read about Stalin and his purges.

The drummer from my former band, the retired union rep you saw last year at that bar, posted a thing on his fb yesterday, I suspect in retaliation for my barrage of anti-union links, and it went like this:
– – – – – – – –
(On my calender on what would’ve been my 33rd year as a NW Airlines/IAMAW union rep)
” I felt it was a fairly small thing, just hitting and swearing at workers, and not giving them their wages.”

~ businessman (and bottom feeding carp, Heng Tinghan who was accused of mistreating his employees
- Right to work anyone?

He linked this to it – http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/china/2007-06/17/content_896058.htm

Imagine the mush in his head.

You can’t make headway with people like that. Distinctions and logic are beyond them.
