Another reason for House democrats to be nervous in 2010

But the latest one to announce his retirement should give all Democrats reason to worry about the 2010 elections.

Tennessee Democrat Bart Gordon had $1.2 million in cash-on-hand in his last FEC filing. His Republican challengers? Only one of them had any cash on hand at that filing and that was a mere $13,731.

When an incumbent Democrat with a big pile of cash on hand decides that its time to retire, it must send a shiver down the spines of other Democrats.

Mustn’t it?

(Yeah, we know that wasn’t our cleverest closing line, but we’ve never used the word “mustn’t” before and this seemed like a good time to do it.)

I am not getting my hopes up about any grand conservative revolution. I think these Democrats sold out their constituents and have other employment lined up. They seem to have conceded that the Republicans will gain a lot of seat in Congress in 2010. They’ll already have their framework in place and the Republicans will not tear it out.

As in the past the RINOs will spend, spend, spend and be tossed out giving power back to the Democrats…this time for good as enough people will depend on Mother Government to get their vote and retain power.

I agree with Greg. It is a two parter: They sold out their constituents and know they wont be re-elected so they lined up other more lucrative employment or position where they can reap the benefits of their scams.

The Republicans and Independents should tear it out and shred it to pieces first sign they get if they don’t then they can also expect to be booted.
