Investors Business Daily again demonstrates the logic that the biased liberal media won’t.

That’s enough U.S. energy to achieve self-sufficiency and never worry about it as a national security question again.”

This all fine and dandy, but according to the ‘lefties’ the caribou will object.
The oil will sit there till the whilrwind apology tour is over in 2012. When a conservative is elected in a landslide, domestic sources for oil and natural gas will be sought with vigor.
Until then, expect the Putin & Co to set up a slant drilling operation right on the Bering Straight.
The Russians are also acting bellicose over the North Pole area and not just to the west of Alaska, raising concerns for Alaska to its north, and Canada and Denmark (through Greenland) including using Cold War-style bomber encroachments into NORAD air space.
