Book royalties – he’s the world’s best selling unread author, and part of the “one percent.” BTW, interesting how that narrative has vanished from the MSM’s songbook, ain’t it?

France’s new president marks first day in office with lightning strike. “A presidential jet carrying newly inaugurated French President Francois Hollande was hit by lightning en route to Berlin…” F5 irony warnings have been issued. Hollande was unhurt – the plane returned to Paris and he took off again in a new one.

Obama drops his name into the other presidential biographies. On whitehouse.gov, that is, for every prez since Silent Cal. Here’s his drop-in on Reagan: “In a June 28, 1985 speech Reagan called for a fairer tax code, one where a multi-millionaire did not have a lower tax rate than his secretary. Today, President Obama is calling for the same with the Buffett Rule.” We’d also like to drop his name, but into something made of porcelain which flushes.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Remember the 1983 Woody Allen film titled Zelig? It was a pseudo-documentary in which Allen used blue screen technology to insert himself into historical newsreel footage. Perhaps these additions to the other presidents’ biographies were just Obama’s way of paying homage to Allen.

Sowell: A censored race war. The media and the authorities sweep black-on-white crime under the rug for fear of inciting white backlash. Sowell says this can backfire and if an explosion occurs, “things could be a lot worse than if the truth had come out earlier, and steps taken by both black and white leaders to deal with the hoodlums and with those who inflame them.” Yeah, but sweeping dirt under the rug is basically the way politicians deal with every problem.

Tip for WaPo: Look into young Joe Biden. From “What It Takes: The Way to the White House”, a story of the 1988 presidential election by reporter Richard Ben Cramer: “’Sheriff Joe’ was reportedly involved in a spate of anti-social activities as a child and adolescent, including but not limited to elaborate neighborhood pranks, street brawls, and even an assault on a lowly dorm employee in college.” Like “Dreams from Bill Ayers My Father” another book nobody bothered to read.

Preachers in Baltimore blast Obama for same-sex marriage stance. “He has said to his base, African-Americans, ‘I am going against your beliefs and your thoughts,’” Pastor Burns said. “He’s [Pastor Burns] so opposed to same-sex marriage, he told church members he will no longer support the president and now predicts Obama will lose the election because of it.” Backfire.

Kodak had a secret nuclear reactor loaded with weapons-grade uranium hidden in a basement. How did they get permission to own it, let alone install it in a basement in the middle of a densely populated city? Nobody really knows. Nobody in city or state government or anywhere else knew about it until it was recently leaked by an ex-employee. BTW, it was dismantled in 2006. Makes you wonder who else may have stuff like this and where.

Obama gives speech in front of Reno couple’s garage for some reason. Given his campaign’s voracious desire for money, we suspect Barry’s talking up the couple’s garage sale in return for 50% of the profits. Did we say 50%????

President Obama’s Wall Street problem. “The giant $2 billion trading loss at JPMorgan Chase highlights a central problem in President Barack Obama’s case for a second term: Four years after the financial crisis nearly brought the nation to its knees, very little appears to have changed.” Obama’s anti-Wall St rhetoric is basically just street theatre for the masses. The article hints at the central problem – JP Morgan Chase is run by a Democrat Obama supporter.

Newsweek makes Obama gay. Ya can’t make this stuff up… but the MSM certainly can.

GAO: Recoverable oil in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming “about equal to entire world’s proven oil reserves.” If only we could get around the technical difficulties that hinder extraction, like figuring a way for Obama’s cronies to profit from it and getting his donors to ignore it.

President Obama’s onetime pastor Jeremiah Wright says he was offered money not to preach. “After the media went ballistic on me, I received an e-mail offering me money not to preach at all until the November presidential election.” Gee, the MSM shoulda held out for a few trillion in to ignore the story – they basically kept it quiet for free. Idiots.

Socialist Hollande owns three homes on the Riviera. “Francois Hollande, 57, who ‘dislikes the rich’ and wants to revolutionise his country with high taxes and an onslaught against bankers, is in fact hugely wealthy himself.” How do you say “limosine liberal” in French? “Francois Hollande”, of course.

California deficit swells to $16 billion, governor says. “The shortfall has widened from the $9.2 billion Brown estimated in January, after lawmakers resisted the Democrat’s call for cost cuts, the federal government blocked other reductions and April income-tax revenue missed budget forecasts by $2 billion.” Yeah, they better start building that bullet train so the pols can all flee the state before it goes bankrupt.

Obama, the social issues firebug. “Obama is scuttling around the forest, starting social issue fires left, right and center: the Sandra Fluke phone call, the Trayvon Martin speech, and now the gay marriage ‘evolution’. As each one takes hold, the Obama-friendly media arrives on the scene shouting ‘Fire!’ at the top of their lungs.” Firebugs often end up setting fire to their own butts. Just sayin’.

House Democrats received training this week on how to address the issue of race to defend government programs, according to training materials obtained by The Washington Examiner. After all their years of practice, they still need training for that????

Geraldo details TSA “rape” pat down: “My junk was junked.” Says the guy “was getting off on it.” And if you read the Washington Compost tomorrow, it’ll probably say the screener was Mitt Romney. GR has no love for the TSA – he lambastes the TSA’s “incompetence” for about 1:15 before he gets to the pat-down. (Video at the link.)

New book: Bill Clinton called Obama “incompetent”, urged Hillary to run in 2012. We don’t need a book to figure out Obama’s incompetent, but it’s nice to know Bill Clinton knows it too – makes his campaigning that much more effective. But the author is some GOP racist, right? Nope. Edward Klein is a NY Times bestselling non-fiction author, the former foreign editor of Newsweek and former editor-in-chief of The NY Times Magazine.

Biden said to apologize to Obama for gay marriage remarks. Biteme apologized to Obama for making remarks that prompted the president to disclose his support for same-sex marriage before he planned to, according to an administration official. Biden’s press secretary said “The president has been the leader on this issue from Day One…” We hate to ask but someone has to… was Barry leading from the rear on this one too?

Young Obama bullied a female middle-school classmate. Incidents from the pre-adult history of the candidates are important; that is what we’d infer from the WaPo’s recent revelation of Romney’s alleged forcible cutting of a high-school classmate’s hair. (BTW, how come the WaPo is interested in what Romney may have done to a classmate in 1965 but doesn’t care about Obama’s DOJ sending across the border firearms that killed hundreds of Mexicans as well as US agents?)
