Lena Dunham goes topless in Instagram campaign for Planned Parenthood: Should this picture get wide enough dissemination Planned Parenthood will be faced with the all new challenge of insurmountable dearth of supply.

Tim Cook Comes Out of the iCloset: We’ve a strong belief in what Jefferson called the “natural aristocracy”. In this situation that can, and does, mean that we’ve no real interest in what Cook does in his private time and so long as he doesn’t stray too far from Job’s vision we will likely continue to be a fan of the products he is responsible for. However one thing within his statement did strike us as odd.

Being gay has given me a deeper understanding of what it means to be in the minority and provided a window into the challenges that people in other minority groups deal with every day.

We think this statement is lacking in sophistication. The depth of Cooks empathy is severely limited as -unlike African Americans under Jim Crow- he could keep this part of his identity secret and -unlike the Christians under Nero- he kept that identity secret until it became a benefit to him professionally.

Houston mayor says daughter was denied driver’s test because she has two moms. A couple of weeks after getting caught going full Nazi on political dissent Houston Mayor Annise Parker claims her daughter was the victim of the systemic homophobia inherent in DMV paperwork. If this were anymore predictable it would be a Nicholas Sparks novel. If it were any more pathetic it would be a movie based on the same.

Military to deploy Ebola response team within U.S.- It is curious, the military that could not be used to protect the citizens from foreign Ebola will now be used to control them because of it.

BAG NEWS: Obola Visual Attacks on Obama Pick Up Right Where Kenya/Muslim Slurs Left Off- The call for these guys to change their name from Bag News to, the more informative, Barf Bag News is likely to be resisted as it violates their policy against honesty.

POLL: The Only Thing Chicagoans HATE More than Mayor Rahm Emanuel is the Green Bay Packers (!): Seeing as how only living residents were queried this poll is not likely to give a strong indication as to the results of the next mayoral election.

Countries issue travel bans on Ebola-stricken nations: If only America still had the same quality of leadership that can be found in most third world countries.

Pelosi demands hearing on Ebola funding: CDC incompetence directed a symptomatic Ebola carrier to fly across the country on a commercial airplane. We shudder to think what they, and similar government systems, could accomplish with more money.

Joe Biden’s Son Hunter Was Kicked Out Of The Navy For Cocaine Use: Having watched the last vice-president debate we’ve a pretty good idea where the kid learned it from.

Tom Frieden: Charter planes don’t work like commercial planes! Well if the whole CDC thing doesn’t pan out for Dr. Fever maybe Ebola Barry could get him a job as head of the FAA.

Ad Blames GOP Budget Cuts For Ebola Outbreak: The fires of incompetence and Ebola must be doused by cutting off the means by which they advance. In the case of the latter that means quarantines for the victims. In the case of the former that means no more money for idiots who, through both action and inaction, brought a plague through our borders.

Professor Jean Tirole Just Won The Nobel Prize In Economics: When we were kids in little league there used to be this thing called “The Hustle Award”. And you can just imagine the guy who snagged that one. Four eyes, two left feet and a couple of butter mounds where the hands should have been. Some years, ok decades, later we find that this award still exists. Only now instead of being given to fellows that failed on the ball field it appears to be going to people that fail in an even more important one; economics. And by failure we mean unable to have predicted the world financial meltdown and unable to prescribe actions significantly different from the ones that caused it in the first place. Interestingly enough there was a long lister for The Nobel Prize in Economics (or more accurately the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel) that has consistently not failed at either of those things. His name is Israel Kirzner and so far as we are concerned he is the MVP of econ.

Ebola Victim’s Family Blames Hospital and State:

Relatives of the first person to die of Ebola in the United States, joined by the Rev. Jesse L. Jackson Sr., continued on Saturday to denounce the treatment he and his family had received from a hospital here and from Texas officials, claiming that he had been cremated without their knowledge or permission and given substandard care because he was African.

At this point we can only hope that the family and Reverend Jackson can take some comfort in knowing that while Mr. Thomas Duncan is gone his legacy lives on so long as Americans continue to die from the plague he brought to this country.

Liberals Are “LIVID” at This Actor for Cracking This Joke About Obama and Ebolo The Joke: People shouldn’t be so scared about this virus from Africa. He only has two more years of his presidency.

Chris Hayes Slams Maher’s ‘Racist’ Islam Panel: Why No Muslim Guests?

Hayes found it particularly gross “that these are five non-Muslim guys sitting around talking about what ‘the Muslims’ think.” And while no one would say that’s offensive, Hayes offered that a similar panel discussion about the Jews conducted entirely by Christians disparaging their faith would come across far less positively.

The last time a panel of sufficiently powerful progressives got together to discuss the Jews they came up with a solution that was thankfully less final than intended.

How Liberals Became the New Book Banners: Do anything special for Banned Books Week? We didn’t either. Possibly because much of the outrage we encountered was directed at books being removed from required reading lists. And of course not demanding someone read a book is as much a ban on that book as privately obtainable abortoswag is a ban on itself. Looking a little deeper though we’ve found there are still plenty of people in favor of banning books, and deliciously enough they are quite often the same ones that spent last week celebrating their all too limited commitment to the cause of ending censorship.

We need a new constitution: Here’s how we save American democracy from charlatans, loudmouths and the 1 percent. Apparently they plan to do this by repealing those protections granted by the 1st and 13th Amendments and replacing them with public funded fail and the sort of regulation that instead of keeping a check on business keeps the checks going to them, well them most favored ones anyway.

New Cuban colognes honor Guevara and Chavez: Both the Guevara and Castro colognes are fresh, sharp and not so subtly totalitarian. Top notes include mint, rum and nuances of a boot stamping on a human face -forever. These quickly give way to heart notes of nutty almond mixed with equal parts of poverty and mass graves. The base is composed of musk, tobacco and genocide for dissidents, capitalists, Africans, Jews and homosexuals. Of the two Castro appears to have the greater longevity but Guevara can be described as more pungent, not unlike the smell coming from his short pants right before being sped along to his final reward.
