FBI may charge George Zimmerman with hate crime: In a nation where there are emotion police how long can it be until there are ones enforcing thought restrictions as well?
Warren: Wall Street Fighting A “Guerrilla War” Against Regulations. From the article: “Well, this is about accountability,” Elizabeth Warren said about her call for Jamie Dimon to step down as CEO of JPMorgan Chase. “You know, the banks have been loading up on risk and they don’t want to be accountable. And Jamie Dimon not only is CEO of JPMorgan Chase, he holds this position of public trust, advising the New York Fed on how to regulate risk for these large financial institutions like his own financial institution.” If accountability is the issue we have a much better idea. Let them fail. Let them go out of business. Let them end up in bread lines, soup kitchens and going door to door trying to get work mowing our lawns. Of course a committed corporatist like Elizabeth Warren could never allow for that solution. That gives the power to the market. That gives the power to the consumer. That gives the power to the people. And if that were ever to happen there would be precious little left for her to use in that never ending quest to control our lives.
Obama ad calls Mitt Romney’s Bain Capital firm a ‘vampire’: Check the puncture wounds on your paycheck. Those things weren’t caused by Bain Capital. Those holes were made by government.
Former Obama Speechwriter to Pen White House Sitcom: This could be great. Clearly the man has demonstrated a certain proclivity for producing material that is largely laughable.
Strassel: Trolling for Dirt on the President’s List: See guys Carter isn’t the only president Barry is like. He’s also like Nixon. If Nixon had been about a thousand times worse.
Yet another warning that Greece will soon run out of money: Unfortunately we’ll probably be going greek sooner than we might suppose.
Blind N.J. Man Gets Guns Back Years After Police Took Them Away: Although we wouldn’t be surprised if the cops keep an eye on this fellow.
Strange Time cover features woman breastfeeding large kid: We wouldn’t be at all surprised if there was a hidden provision in Obamacare that forced Catholics to perform this very service for lonely law students at Georgetown.
324,000 Women Dropped Out of Labor Force in Last Two Months–As Number of Women Not in Labor Force Hits Historic High. As the Obama war on women rages on we can only wonder what Julia must be thinking about this.
Lawyer: More John Travolta Sex Scandal. Obviously he thought he was switching from Urban Cowboy to that of the midnight variety . . . should have stuck with the mechanical bull.
Jamie Lee Curtis Calls on Obama Admin to Fight Addiction in Wake of Whitney Houston’s Death: We’ve been calling for the man to fight addiction as well. Namely his addiction to spending other people’s money.
AG Murder plans to sue Sheriff Arpaio: Apparently Holder thinks Sheriff Joe is guilty of that old favorite standby . . . civil rights violations. Of course even if these accusations can’t be taken seriously we must be careful not to make light of those instances when civil rights have been violated. Like those that lost their civil right to keep on living because Eric Holder gave guns to their killers.
Socialist “Occupier” Clams Up As Former Soviet Citizen Reminds Che Guevara Was Homophobe and Racist: It isn’t socialism’s fault. It’s just that Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, Mao, Castro and all the rest didn’t know what they were doing. Good thing the modern American Socialist movement can call upon the skills and experience of this brain trust. She is certain to succeed. Even if all those others failed.
Obama tells Americans not to take chance on Romney: Sure trusting Romney is a more than a bit dicey. But if your only two choices are Russian Roulette or the Firing Squad most people would prefer the revolver to the guys with rifles every time.
‘Civilized People Don’t Buy Gold’ says Buffet Henchman: Of course not. If “civilized people” started buying gold then there might not be enough of it left when Darth Buffet decides he needs to scarf it all up. And unlike the monopoly money his pal Ben Bernanke crashes out savings with gold can’t be created via fiat.
Is This Censorship? Facebook Stops Users From Posting ‘Irrelevant Or Inappropriate’ Comments: Given this news we can only assume that a very short count down has been instituted between now and the time that Barry’s FB page is deleted altogether.
Ark. lawmaker wants to end abuse of government-issued phone program. Good call Mr. Congressman . . . good call.
Southern Poverty Pimp Law Center “…not really set up to cover the extreme Left.” Oh sure they can brand Rand Paul an “extremist” for his “extremist” view that the citizens of this country are not the property of the government, but they’re not equipped to deal with those that would employ murder, destruction and mayhem in order to ensure that we are the property of either that government or the preferred cooperative that they suppose will supplant it.
Economy so bad that scam artists suffer, says Justice Dept. official. Well it isn’t so bad for all the scam artists. Barry is doing pretty good. Regardless of what his tax return might say.
May Day Protesters Doesn’t Know What They’re Protesting: While you were at your job yesterday these guys were protesting the fact that the government isn’t giving them enough of what you work for.
We might hate the media, but apparently Al-Qaida had the opposite feeling. From the article: Al-Qaida spokesman Adam Gadahn a fan of 60 Minutes but said Fox News ‘lacks neutrality’ and CBS is ‘close to being unbiased’ We’ve heard many of these sentiments before. But usually it is coming from some self-precious prog with a blog.
Why Aren’t Banks Lending to Small Business? Ask Bernanke. It is simple really. Four companies are a lot easier to control than four thousand. Besides Obama’s corporatist buddies hate competition. And it is going to take a whole lot of their money if Barry is to have any hope of vanquishing his own.
MoveOn’s Quest to Outlaw the Term “Illegal Immigrant”: Clearly this is what the Founders had in mind when they drafted The Constitution. A nation that could not protect the citizens from foreign invaders but was more than happy to punish the free use of those citizen’s speech.
