You mean like Clinton? Where “friends” means anyone with the requisite cash? Clinton, with Eric Holder’s help, was outright selling pardons at the end.

There’a wee bit of confusion over there anda hornets’ nest I wasn’t gonna poke my nose into — it’s a bit ambiguous, but seems that those provisions are applicable ONLY in the sense of doctors asking you about your firearms and/or any such data being passed on to the feds. It is NOT a blanket protection of firearm owners.
