Lowering spending is an immediate fix from the micro of home to the macro of a national economy. Finding another job, or another source of income takes a little longer and requires much more planning. Then again, those who don’t have jobs don’t think that way, and their immediate thought is to simply take it from someone else.

You see, my dear sweet Olivia, in a household, with income and expenditures, you could actually increase income in a number of ways. Problem is, the similarities between government and a household end at some point. If I didn’t feel I had enough income to cover my expenses, I COULD go out and find another job, and produce more, thereby getting paid more. The government hacks, on the other hand, just insist on getting paid more for doing the same inefficient job of producing nothing. Not exactly the same.

It is what it is. If I go to HuffPo, I fully expect to get downvoted and flamed. My opinion isn’t welcome there, and I’ve gotten tired of the abuse. Not sure why anybody would think that all websites would march in lockstep.
Frankly, I am sick of being labeled racist for not liking the president — and I would dislike what he’s done regardless of melatonin content. It simply doesn’t enter into it. The knee-jerk reactive spewing of the term ‘racist’ doesn’t play here.
As much as you don’t care for the tenor of this website, there are a lot of different opinions here, and a healthy exchange of ideas. There is also snark. Snark doesn’t have to be a one-way thing. You would never convince people here to love Barry — he represents an out-of-control government, and we blame the Republican party as much as the Democrat party. I’ve never seen that at Huffpo or any of the other places I’ve gone.
There’s a reason Congress’ approval is around 10% — we got there by both parties’ betrayal of our nation.
