Has the mainstream media ever done anything but cheerlead for war until the war has already been launched and it’s too late to do
anything about it you dumb asses?

Did they inform the country about the overthrows and assassinations Bush the father engineered as head of the CIA?

Did they inform the country about Bush the grandfather being part of the plot to overthrow the US government and install a fascist dictatorship? Did they tell you about Bush the grandfather being a big financial supporter of Hitler, even during the war, even after he was ordered to stop?

Do they inform you that nuclear power is so risky that no insurance company will touch it and the only way the industry can exist is by a law passed saying that you dumb fu*ks will insure it with your tax dollars?

You all pretend to care so much about 3000 dead on 911, even though if any of you had been asked before that what you think of New Yorkers you would have used all your usual hate speech “Jew York City,” Fu*king New York liberals, all those nig&ers and Spi*ks etc., but does the “liberal” corporate media say a word about 50,000 Americans a year that die in workplace accidents because
industries lobby/bribe congress against real workplace safety laws and regulations because they don’t want to spend the money on making it safe and saving lives? Do they tell you that almost 18,ooo a year die from lack of health care or denied coverage even with health care in our wonderful for profit “health” system in which they let people die because it’s more profitable? Do they make it clear that every other advanced country in the world has national health care, that it’s considered a human right and that it’s FAR more efficient and cheaper than what we pay to only cover a portion of us and they get much better and more effective care? Do they tell you that it’s a crime for a for profit health insurance company to offer primary health care insurance (as opposed to elective/cosmetic) Do they explain how much money your corporations spend/bribe congress in order to be able to poison people and the earth with unsafe chemicals and ingredients in their products, food and processes? Do they report on these dangers and the results barely at all?

Do they tell us how much cancer, asmtha and other diseases and conditions have been caused and increased by all that?

Do they explain how much all the corporations rip us all off by getting tax breaks from us and then causing all that death and misery but not paying for it? We give them the tax breaks to build plants, offices and factories, then the tax payer pays for the health care of the diseases they cause and for cleaning up the pollution when it’s cleaned up.

Do they explain that “tort reform” is designed to allow even more unfettered murderous and dangerous and earth destroying practices by corporations so that there is virtually no possibility of any real costs to whatever harm they cause, so there is no responsibility for their crimes and they can keep doing them cheaply and scott free?

Do they explain how many tax loopholes the corporations use so they don’t really pay almost any of what they owe or should pay between offshoring or similar dirty practices they use from state to state here? Do they explain how much of the overall tax bill of this country corporations used to pay compared to the 7 percent they pay now?

Do they explain how during the most booming times of the last century the wealthy were paying between 90 some and 70 some percent marginal tax rates and the country did fine and rich people were still rich but now they pay about a third of that and have put it all off on the poor and middle class all the while they’ve outsourced and offshored all of our jobs and encouraged and engineered it so that everyone lives on debt instead of wages while they live off of Ponzi schemes and other phony financial schemes which has led us to the collapse we’re now facing? Do they tell you that the Fed and the government have rewarded them and propped them up for screwing us, not to the tune of the already outrageous 700 billion TARP, but actually 11 trillion? Do they explain that the set up of all this money is such that you and I take all the risks with only a possibility of a fraction of the rewards and that they’re getting a deal they could never have hoped for? This is all just some of the iceberg!

Let me ask you dumb asses this, do you even notice that the cable news channels have only a few stories every day and they mostly repeat them over and over again? How much time do they spend on the latest juicy murder story or missing person or sex scandal? Do you seriously think there is enough time in a day for them to cover even a fraction of the truly important social, political and economic stories and situations of the country and world even if they wanted to? How often do they do serious in depth coverage of virtually anything? So how is it “liberal” to spend all your time talking about American Idol, Britney, Micheal, the Craigslist killer, the Chicago killer cop etc. etc. etc. and then a few snippets of the days more real news over and over again when obviously if you’re wasting your time talking about that bullsh*t you’re not talking about what G.E., Dupont, Exxon, Chevron, Shell, Monsanto, Blackwater, Halliburton, Boeing, Bell Helicopter and the rest are doing to us and others and they’re not talking about how the government isn’t representing we the people at all, but are bought and paid for by those corporations and representing THEM!

It’s honestly INCREDIBLE that you not only can’t see that, see that their campaign contributions and lobbying are paying for “our” government, and that you can’t see that they get their own people put into government and regulatory positions, or have deals so that those people have cushy jobs waiting for them after they get out of government to lobby the next stooges, so that they’re writing their own laws and “regulating” themselves, but that you can’t even see it when THEY ARE THE DIRECT BOSSES AND LITERALLY PAY

There is no such thing as liberal media, the media either covers up/ignores the crimes and abominations of right wing corporate and government America or spins it in their favor if they do cover anything at least 90 percent of the time. They have a continual parade of commentators and guests from the right, from right wing think tanks, from ex generals being paid by war profiteering weapons makers, right wing politicians etc. But when do they have true voices on the left and how often? How often, if ever, have you heard from Nader, Chomsky, Chalmers Johnson, Howard Zinn, Bobby Kennedy Jr., Glenn Greenwald, Naomi Klein, Greg Palast, Jeremy Scahill, William Blum, Tariq Ali, Juan Cole, Bernie Sanders, Ted Kennedy, Kucinich, Marcy Kaptur, Feingold etc.?

Don’t you get it? The very job of the media is to keep the powers at bay so they can’t take advantage of uninformed people. So the rich can’t overpower the poor and middle, cheat them, mistreat them, steal from them, oppress them, harm them. Look, here are the basics, what kind of person do you want to be? If you want to be a good person that wants basic humanity in the world, that doesn’t want to be taken advantage of or support people that take advantage of others, if you don’t want to be a thief or support thieves, if you don’t want to poison or be poisoned, if you don’t want to screw others for your own gain or be screwed for others gain, if you don’t want to kill or attack for profit or be killed or attacked for profit then you have to know what’s actually happening around you, otherwise how can you even attempt to do anything about it if you don’t know about it or understand it?

The only way to know and understand is to listen to and read from people that have the guts and integrity to question and investigate and report on the power players and have truth and fairness as their interests and priorities rather than their own profits and the profits of their bosses.

Now on the other hand if you actually openly want to be greedy, selfish, unfair, ruthless, racist, murderous and stupid, well you’re already on the “right” path (pun unavoidable) and all a rational person can do is work for your defeat.

And by the way, you call me a godless bleeding heart liberal…. bleeding heart means caring about others, caring about pain, suffering or mistreatment of others, but you consider that a negative thing! What on earth do you think all major religions are trying to teach you about?

It’s true, I don’t believe in God any more than any other fairy tale, why should I? But I have more “God” in me, in the sense of believing in the things your God is supposed to be teaching you, in coming far closer to following the supposed teachings of Jesus than anyone that’s a fan of this website!
