The Bay Area is F*cked and the idiots living there don’t have a clue. I refuse to even travel to that part of the People’s Republic of Kalifornia. traffic, crime, human waste on the streets, nice place….if your a alcoholic or drug user.

You know – I saw a list of which reps voted for Obamacare and which didn’t. And it occurred to me that California and NY decided for the rest of the country that we would have this socialist healthcare system.

Then I crunched some numbers and realized that about 12.5% of our country’s population live in those two states. That is just flat-out WRONG. Two states should not have the power over the rest of the nation. Especially when it’s not 100% of the state’s population. There are plenty of people in CA and NY who hate the idea.

The dems have capitalized on that as the republicans have just sat on their thumbs. They just have to manipulate enough people in those two states to roll over the other residents, and whammo – they get what they want. It makes me sick.

What makes me sick is the administration’s use of the term ‘majority’ in recent days. As in the majority of the country is behind them. No, Mr. obama, barely more than half of the country allegedly voted for you. Not a majority by any stretch of the imagination.

I grant you, 1 vote would give him the “majority vote.” Assuming of course that the voting was not fraudulent, which is a pretty bold assumption. Still when one combines ALL votes for someone other than Obama, the numbers are not as clear. He has managed to pretty much divide the country in two. The coasts, the Great Lakes region, New Mexico and Colorado vs the entire rest of the country.

Karmaa, that would be why there is talk of secession.
If the REAL majority were to pull out of the union, we would be much better off.
I had this idea, since we are constantly being compared to Europe, maybe we should become a group of smaller countries, like Europe.
That way we could make a much more fair comparison, and there would only be a few “countries” that are in fiscal trouble.

Look at a map. The vast ajority of the country is red. Blue in the Northeast, the West coast (much populated by tranplanted Northeasterners) the Area around the Great Lakes and New Mexico. Everyone else i s red. but then we are the “flyover states” like we don’t even count. Oh wait. We don’t!

What I can’t understand is why anyone would want to live in Kalifornia anymore. The only difference between it and, for example, Colorado is the Pacific on the west side of the mountains and more illegal aliens.

I would have been gone years ago and those of you still live there because you think you can make a difference are wasting your time pissing in the wind. Kalifornia is a lost cause so sell out and move to America, where you can help the rest of us make a difference in how our country is run.

I loved Colorado and am saddened by its direction. I lived there before it became a California outpost, and used to be a great place. What a waste.

I worked in heavy construction for 32 years, traveled all over the country during my career. Just like any other state California has some beautiful parts, some not so beautiful, so why would any common sense person stay there when the politics of the state has become so socialistic is beyond me.

Never going to happen, unfortunately. Has to do with where the faults are and the direction in which they move. they are North-south. There is no sliding under or over which could result in a breaking off. So we’re stuck. Of course if sea levels rise we can get rid of New York, Washington DC, THe entire state of Florida and California. So pray for rain. We could eliminate Al Gore at the same time when his malibu mansion falls into the ocean.
