California Speaker Bass thinks voters are stupid confused to do the right thing

Why did California voters overwhelmingly reject all those tax-and-spend ballot measures last week? According to California Speaker of the Assembly Karen Bass, it’s because they’re too confused to comprehend the opportunity that had been presented to them by Arnold Schwartzenegger and the geniuses in the state legislature.

“I would go into a room,” she said, “…and I found the basic fact that voters were very confused about what it is we were asking them to do and why we were asking them to help us solve the budget problem.”

They were confused alright, honey. They were confused by the state’s profligate spending. Confused by its ballooning budget. Confused by the millions spent mollycoddling illegal aliens. Confused by the willful waste of their hard-earned tax dollars. And confused by the labor unions’ stranglehold on state’s future.

We were confused, but we just had a moment of complete clarity. So how about if you shut the hell up, Ms. Bass. Slash the spending. Cut the unions down to size. Pass a responsible budget that stops driving business and people out of the state. End the mollycoddling of illegal aliens.

You lying, hypocritical piece of over-spending excrement.

Yesterday my group was unleashed on Sacramento to lobby against a horrid piece of legislation that is working its way through the assembly. Here is what one of our members wrote to me:

What I wanted to say was, “stop supporting the special interests that got you elected, and start doing what’s right for the state. I know you sold your soul to get into government, but it’s not too late to do something good and save it. If you lead with morals, integrity, and common sense, we’ll follow and make sure you get elected again.” But instead I stuck to the money line. (The money line being the state is broke, don’t pass this and make it broker)

Seems to sum it up doesn’t it? What say some of you out there start challenging these elected folks with this kind of rhetoric so we can see what happens.

Oh and yes, Bass needs to STFU and clean up her own mess.

God, they’re all in such denial about their culpability in creating the situation. “When you rob from Peter to pay Paul, you can always count on the support of Paul.”

I assume everyone gets a pre-election ballot like I have mailed to me. You just have to read it. Assuming these people can read.

I voted on the California props this month, and it took about ten seconds. When I got out and handed the ballot to the election worker, she said “that was fast.” I said, of course, I studied it prior and knew what I’d vote for. I asked her if she thought people usually made up their minds in the booth, based upon reading the prop titles for the first time. She just stared at me like I was insulting most voters.

Based on the past few election cycles, most voters should be insulted!

May I suggest to my confused friend from the state of California to contact ACORN? Maybe ACORN can help the stoopid voters do the right thing.

But voters are stupid.

We just elected a president that voted for the Patriot Act renewal, has voted to continue the Iraq War at every opportunity except during the primaries when the spotlight was directly on him, and voted for the Bush / Paulson banking bailout program.

And continued all of them.

And now the people that bitched and moaning about what a terrible president we had from 2000 to 2008 are rejoicing about what a wonderful president we have now, and the people that were supporting the idiot we had from 2000-2008 are bitching and moaning about what an idiot president we have now – when all that has changed, is skin color and a little letter at the end of the president’s name, and – let us not forget – different lies and false promises.

Voters are obviously stupid. As you read this now, probably with growing anger as it dawns on you that I’m calling you stupid, because you fit that exact profile, you’re stupid too – and will remain stupid, because instead of recognizing how easily you’re manipulated with empty promises from parties, and labels, you’ll be searching for a way to defend the opinion that’s been programming into your “mind”.

Oh, and don’t worry about national health care – do you really think the insurance companies are going to give up that cash cow?

Richard, I agree with you. Although I did not vote for Obama, I feel we are stupid because we let the government use us everyday. We just sit back and moan about it. Both parties of the government are the same. I do not understand how one can defend Obama. How low does the economy have to go before all Americans wake up and stop it. We have allowed the corruption. I despise all of the govt. Americans are losing their jobs every day and the govt. ass holes continue to waste tax payers money. The pork spending should enrage everyone. Obama did promise transparency. He did lead voters to think the change was about cleaning up the crap. With almost all his promises he made that now has proven to be not true, How can one believe him now when he makes promises about the health care. When I see all those people on t.v. that are at his health care reform speeches clapping and cheering- I look at my daughter and say – That is what stupid people look like. It is bad to label people or say bad things, but I am so sick of all of this. Obama is worried about us having health care about as much as he wants us to have a job. He just wants to be in total control and to get that money promised to him from the lobbyist. Obama will not have his family on this health care he wants us to have. Why do people feel that their family deserves less than his? If you do not agree with me than you are a racist!
