Congressional Budget Office Director Doug Elmendorf testified before the House Budget Committee on Thursday and made a shocking admission – he expects ObamaCare to wipe out an estimated 800,000 jobs. That’s equal to every single job in the states of Delaware and South Dakota.
Here are excerpts from the exchange between Elmendorf and Republican Boy Genius Paul Ryan:
Chairman [Paul] Ryan: “[I]t’s been argued…that the new health care law will create jobs and increase labor force participation. But if I recall from your analysis, it was quite the opposite. Is that not the case?”
Director [Douglas] Elmendorf : “Yes.”…Rep. [John] Campbell: Thank you, Mr. Chairman, we’ll — and Dr. Elmendorf — and we’ll continue this conversation right now. First on health care, before I get to — before I get to broader issues, you just mentioned that you believe — or that in your estimate, that the health care law would reduce the labor used in the economy by about 1/2 of 1 percent, given that, I believe you say, there’s 160 million full-time people working in ’20-’21. That means that, in your estimation, the health care law would reduce employment by 800,000 in ’20-’21. Is that correct?
Director Elmendorf: Yes. The way I would put it is that we do estimate, as you said, that…employment will be about 160 million by the end of the decade. Half a percent of that is 800,000.

First of all you the Che picture gives your liberal leanings away.
A nation which spends more than in can afford will cease to be either a civilization or a nation and its citizens will be damned.

That works in countries with smaller populations… that actually works wonders in COMMUNITIES/CHURCHES/TOWNS/ETC led/created/implemented healthcare. Basically the citizens are in charge of their healthcare, once the government takes over it all goes to heck. We have seen that again and again. It is not sustainable for the government take over. You are dreaming of something that is not possible in the real world.

OK Richie, tell me where socialized medicine works? Because it does’nt, & I’ll tell you why it does’nt. Socialists always limit the supply of everything, & then divide it. You might get nothing, but damn-it, we all get nothing. You might have access in Obama-care, but it will be when the gov’t says so. Under our system, the supply can go up to meet demand for those who wish to or are willing to pay for it, freeing up public money for those who NEED IT. You know, by using the Emergancy Room, like the poor & illegals. But Obama-care will kill that, & in time kill people who need treatments that will never be aviable because there will be profit motive for doctors to inovate, nor will the big evil drug companies. All those wonderful pills that cost $500 a bottle because of R&D that save lives after heart surgury or a transplant operation won’t be coming down the road either. Plus, don’t get old, & in need of expensive late life care, because treating you won’t be worth the cost. Death panels anyone?
Take what you consider to be a “civilization” & shove it. If you vision of the world is anything like your avitar photo, that would explain everything.
