Do you think maybe it’s possible that Chris Matthews sometimes says stupid crap (highly-technical economist terminology with which you rank amateurs may not be familiar) just so he’ll get a little attention from bloggers?
Seriously. No one smart enough to get a national cable TV show could possibly be stupid enough to say some of the stuff he says.
We would like to enter the following quote into evidence:
Matthews: You know, a great question, Charles, that wasn’t on my list to ask, but I’m going to ask you because you seem like a sophisticated guy of many parts. You think business can sit on those billions and trillions of dollars for two more years after they screw Obama this time? Are they going to keep sitting on their money so they don’t invest and help the economy for two long years to get Mr. Excitement Mitt Romney elected president? Will they do that to the country?
Sorry, Chris. There’s only one guy intentionally screwing the economy. Hint: His middle name is Hussein.

Yeah we are, because it is more important to get back at barry than it is to feed the mouths of our employees, their families, our families, and to pay for the myriad health care issues that are no longer covered by insurance since barry’s brilliant health care bill.
he’s right-we are all so intent on getting that douche out of office, that we aren’t feeding, clothing, schooling, and treating our families.

Matthews is correct, American buisiness is hoarding cash, & lots of it. However, he does’nt know why, & shows why he should be careful about what he says. He should say nothing if he knows nothing, & economics is an area he should’nt talk about. He is like most leftists, he’s an economic retard.

The reason businesses are hoarding cash right now is simple- THEY DON’T KNOW HOW THIS GOVERNMENTS AGENDA IS GOING TO AFFECT THE BOTTOM LINE. If there were any indicators that showed that we were coming out of the recession, then they would possibly start to re-invest. But at this time, no good businessman or woman is going to throw money into a venture without any idea of the outcome. Matthews is a freakin’ dolt.
By the way, I’m still waiting for my free cell phone.

Was that really Chris Matthews? I didn’t recognize him at first. He looks so different without his ‘tin foil’ hat. Seriously, I totally agree with WordEmUp, “Matthews is a freakin’ dolt”. It would be wonderful if the ‘movers and shakers’ in this country would actually pull a ‘John Galt’, but that is not what is happening. They holding back due to the economic uncertainty which Obama has created. If any one is screwing Obama, it is Obama himself. Of course, from a certain point of view, means that we conservatives are ultimately to blame, since so many of us have invited Obama to have sex with himself, which, as far as we are concerned, he can go and do.

This is a democrat trick from way back — that prick FDR pulled that one, too. When businesses failed to respond to his confiscatory taxation by creating jobs (and why *would* they?), he got congress to create a tax on retained earnings. It is said that he didn’t make the Depression, but he did make the Depression Great.
Any business with any options, such as keeping the money out of the country, did so, keeping the entire nation mired in misery for far, far longer than it needed. If a democrat tells you they are a friend of the little guy, they’re nothing but a damned liar, and you have my permission to punch ‘em in the teeth. If they tell you that they are an enemy of the working man, and thrive on misery and ignorance, give ‘em a cigar for honesty… and then punch them in the teeth.

MSNBC was great this past winter, I watched tons of Olympic Hockey. Other then that, I tune in for a few minutes to laugh at the comedy, & it is funnier then the Comedy Channel.

Typical liberal. Assuming that all people who have money and/or own businesses are greedy and hoarders and want to mess up the country even if others get hurt. Amazing. What exactly are business people to do? Go broke themselves ? Just be okay with spending wildly like Obama with no regard to the future? If they go broke how exactly will they continue to pay for salaries, etc AND take care of their own families? They must be responsible in their business dealings or else they fail and everyone who counts on them for support will have to deal with having nothing. Screwing Obama would not be a feasible priority under those circumstances. The left are crazy.
