Clinton spent $5,000,000 on Chelsea’s wedding last week, donates $10 to Pakistan relief this week

Have you ever noticed that Hillary Clinton is a lot more generous with your money than she is with her own money?

“Here you go, Pakistan,” said the Secretary of State, “but don’t spend it all in one place.” Those weren’t Hillary’s exact words, but it’s a pretty good approximate translation.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton pressed Americans on Wednesday to donate money to flood relief efforts in Pakistan, saying she is leading by example and just made a $10 donation herself.

“I just texted a contribution myself, because we know from our own experience, particularly in Haiti, small donations can add up to make a big difference,” Clinton told reporters on Wednesday.

“Americans have always shown great generosity to people facing crises worldwide. So I urge Americans to join this effort and send some much needed help to the people of Pakistan.”

Clinton urged people to text the word “SWAT” to the number, 50555, and reply “yes” when asked to confirm, in order to make a $10 donation to help the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees.

Sure, about 95% of every dollar we send to Pakistan goes straight to a budget line item called “Corruption”, but c’mon Madame Secretary of State, a little perspective is in order here. $10 isn’t much.

Maybe you could have thrown in a little fruit punch and a few leftover pieces of that $11,000 wedding cake you bought for Chelsea’s wedding.

That could have fed about 1,000,000 starving Pakistanis for a month.

This is nothing new…

“In previous returns, when Mr. Clinton was the Governor of Arkansas and his wife was a partner in a Little Rock law firm, ,the Clintons had gone so far as to deduct $2 for underwear donated to charities. The deduction was ridiculed by comedians and pundits, and the White House did not itemize the Clintons’ $17,000 in charitable contributions on the 1993 return.”

Do I care she and her husband spent 5 mil on their daughter’s wedding? No. Overall if I have 5 million dollars to spend on my wedding I WILL spend 5 mil on my wedding you feel me?

The problem here is the setting an example thing. Sure a small donation does set an example that little donations even when you are in tight circumstances do make a difference, but she being a person of greater means should have sent more if she really wants to make thep oint of accross of given as much as you are able to. Overall she may have given more in private and that is right if she did, but it DOES come out wrong after a she spend so much money on her daughter’s wedding to set an example of $10.00 donation from her part. After all we all know that she EXPECTS me and others to give more and often.

The hypocrisy is not as much because of what they spent on their daughter’s wedding. It’s their money, they can spend it however they like. And as a bonus, they stimulated the economy by employing all the people it took to prepare the wedding.
It is hypocrisy because she, like every other liberal/collectivist, expects the rest of us to always “give back” more, and always supports government policies that will force the rest of us to give more, yet she’s not willing to give more out of her own pocket.
It’s no different than Owl Gore wanting us to lower our living standards, consume less energy, all in the name of the global warming hoax and saving the planet, and yet he gets to burn tons of jet fuel on his own airplane and loading 1/4 of the electric grid in the county where his mansion is located.

That is what I said Omar. She and people like her expect us to “sacrifice” ourselves, whereas there is no sacrifice on their part. That is the problem.

Hopefully nobody sends any money to Pakistan, our betters in government already send them billions of our dollars, but Pakistanis despise civilized people.

Better that HRC sends 10 bucks than Bill’s used undies.

Billy Bob on the knob Clinton believes in redistribution of wealth . What belongs to you , belongs to everyone . But what belongs to him , belongs to him . Like the WE THE PEOPLE ‘s antique furniture that was in the white house , that this thief stole , when he left office

Why would you want to tell the whole story & ruin a perfectly good talking point. Secretary of State Clinton was at a news conference to announce a multimillion $$ US donation to help the flood victims in Pakistan & promote the texting venture as a way for concerned citizens to make donations in $5 & $10 amounts. Of course there is no mention of the context of her donation, the purpose of which was to demonstrate the texting option & which could only be made in these small increments. Why can’t you simply report the entire story and let people form their judgements from the facts instead of distorting the facts and leading people to an errant conclusion? Sorry, almost forgot which website I was on … my mistake.

Hey Joe! Since you know so much, maybe you could tell us exactly how much Hillary donated personally, after donating $10 publicly as a demonstration?

Bill Clinton is an amazing character. He has the mind of Woodrow Wilson and the heart of Levi Johnson.

Nothing like taking something out of context. I’m sure they Clintons donated more than $10 Pakistan relief. Her $10 donation was an example to show others how to donate something they could afford. Would you rather her say “I just donated $100,000 to Pakistan, here is how you can do the same.”

How about, “This is such an important cause that Bill and I are donating $100,000. We realize that not everyone can give as much as we can, but you don’t have to. Even $10 will help. So I urge you to give whatever you can afford to give.”For example, Alan, we would be willing to give $100,000 to any organization that could help deprogram poor fortunate souls like yourself. We realize that not everyone can give as much as we can, but they don’t have to. Even $10 will help. So I urge each of our readers to give whatever they can give.See how that works?

Alan, show us the documentation that makes you so “sure” that the Clintons donated more than $10.

Hey RockingHorseGuy !
All I did was to fill in the facts that weren’t provided by this story’s author. Anyone could tell that this wasn’t the complete representation of the facts on the issue, so I did a simple internet search & found out the complete story just as you could have done. I’m not here to cut down one side or the other, but am just tired of the smears and name calling by both sides. Since you asked, I looked for info regarding a larger Clinton donation to this cause and didn’t find any.BUT … I also didn’t find any donations (not even $10) given by Hannity, Limbaugh, OReilly, Levin, Coulter, Morris, Rupert Murdoch, or any other wealthy conservative . That doesn’t mean that none of them gave to this cause, just that there is no info on it. Please just take a deep breath & relax, some of us are just looking for a little civility & wouldn’t mind the same in return.
