In a sure sign that the Democrats consider New York’s 23rd Congressional District race a lost cause, Joe Biden got shipped in to do a little last minute campaigning for Democrat Bill Owens.
In an equally sure sign that quality reporting is a lost cause, CNN referred to him as “former Vice President Joe Biden.”
For CNN, a simple error. For the rest of us, wishful thinking.

Joe called me the other day and asked me if he should go. I said, ” you know Joe, that District has elected a Republican to that seat for every election cycle since the middle of the 19th century. The Republican Party there dumped Scozzafava because she’s too liberal. Her funding dried up and her poll numbers were in the toilet. The candidate for the Constitution Party is far more popular than the character you guys are running. Think about it. What could you possibly say or do that would help to get a Democrat elected there?”
He was quiet for a moment and then said resolutely, “You’re right, Red. I’m going!”
Update: He just got back to his office and called me. He’s shitting his pants. He saw the CNN feed on the jet, on his way back. Now, there’s a letter sitting on his desk from the White House. Its in one of those window envelopes and the sheet of paper inside it is pink. LOL, poor guy.

Maybe they are just looking ahead to 2012. I know that I am.
Maybe Kenya called in with Barry’s birth certificate and Biden is now in line for a promotion (since that would ax Obama from his post).
That or Biden has to now get his health care from the Obamacare package’s standards and that would mean he’d not have long to live (from the crap treatment he’d be administered)
