Arms, for God’s sake. The story is about Michelle Obama’s arms. Get your mind out of the gutter.
But consider it proof that there is no aspect of the Obamas’ lives too trivial to be glorified by the press.
CNN breathlessly reports that Michelle Obama’s arms are very toned. She can be seen on the March cover of Vogue magazine (gasp) in a sleeveless dress. She also (double gasp) wore a sleeveless dress to the president’s speech to the joint session of Congress. And now (triple gasp) she’s on the cover of People magazine in yet another sleeveless dress.
“The Obama effect has been that women of all ages have been inspired to take responsibility for their health and their body,” said Rylan Duggan, a personal trainer who runs a company called Go Sleeveless.
Thanks to CNN’s hard-hitting report, we now know that women are inspired by the fact that Michelle Obama is sleeveless.
No word yet on who’s inspired by the fact that her husband is shameless, blameless, careless, and relentless.

Any word if Obama has inspired a generation of indoctrinated youth to take up smoking as a way of emulating their dear leader?
You may call M Obama’s arms “toned”—-we think they look like the arms of a roller derby queen—-if she continues in this “toning” she’ll advance to lady wrestler—-grossly unfeminine.
