Conservative Dennis Hopper and his liberal soon-to-be ex-wife
We say Dennis Hopper should be named Conservative of the Year. Even if it has to be awarded posthumously.
The conservative actor is reportedly on his death bed. And he’s desperately trying to hang on to life long enough to divorce his younger, liberal wife so she can’t get her hands on his substantial estate.
Gawker reports the sordid details:
Hopper, 73, is dying from prostate cancer, but he still mustered up the strength to file for divorce from his wife of 13 years, Victoria, 42. The court papers state “irreconcilable differences,” and those differences may be political rather than personal.
Hopper notoriously went from a pot-smoking Hollywood hippie to an outspoken conservative. Victoria, on the other hand, is well known in the Hollywood Democratic fund-raising circuit as one of the power players for liberal causes. Once, at a John Edwards fundraiser hosted by his wife, Hopper said that he merely tolerated his wife’s political activity. Is his move to divorce her a way to keep her “tax and spend” hands off his “live free or die” money?
This may be the first time we’ve ever rooted for someone to get a divorce. Well, at least since the time Paul McCartney divorced that one-legged bloodsucker he was married to.

after 12 years of marrige miss vickie will still end up with a chunk of change. For a conservative to have been married that long to a liberal, the blood sucking must have been amazing.
So, the conservative works hard and earns all the money and the lib comes in and take sit all away in the name of “fairness” and “equality”.

and i agree with the charity thing, danybhoy, he should have a backup plan that puts his money towards prostate cancer prevention, that bitch would never get that money, liberals are waaay to worried about image to dare snatch money away from stopping the same sickness that killed her husband
or if he wants to go out in style, put the money towards funding conservatives all over the place, trollin libs, thats how i want to die.
Okay first of all elevating a prayer for Dennis Hopper hopefully he will make it as much as he needs to, to put his life in order. Hopefully he dies peacefully without much pain. I didn’t know about this.
Second I dont think a divorce would solve his problem. She will still get half. The best thing to do here is like danybhoy so expertly says, give it all to charity(ies). If she has the gall to fight it, she will INDEED look like the selfish ho that she probably is. While he is still alive as long as he doesnt need the funds for proper care until his death he can spend by giving it away to conservative and religious causes/charities/politicians/etc.
Third yes I never understood why Paul Mac married that ho for in the first place. He must have thought she was like his first wife Linda. What a misstep… *coughs*
