Democrat congressman afraid to face his constituents

This is what it’s come to: Tim Bishop, a Democrat Congressman from New York, ran from his constituents and hid inside this town hall meeting place while his constituents gathered outside to protest his past votes and to encourage him to vote against cap-and-trade.

In what must be the ultimate insult, the Long Islanders voters loudly compared the congressman to Nancy Pelosi.

In a sign of his distress, Congressman Bishop has decided that cowardice is the word for the day and canceled another townhall meeting that had been scheduled for July 1.

Ahhh, being in Congress would be an easy job if it weren’t for those pesky voters.
