Derek Jeter interupts rehab on his ankle to talk climate change in Davos. Jeter – invited by Pepsi – said he hopes climate change would be discussed: “I was in New York for Hurricane Sandy… It’s something that needs to be addressed because we’re seeing more and more natural disasters each year, it seems like. Something has to be causing it.” Maybe that something is celebrities jetting around the planet talking about climate change. BTW, that’s DJ’s mansion below.

Actually there have been fewer storms recently. The house is on Davis Island here in Tampa. He bought three lots and built the place after tearing down the old houses. Screwed up the look of the neighborhood. We have friends in the area and they hate living near Jeter.

Gee I’m sick of these celebrities who think they have brains traveling around spouting off about subjects they don’t have a clue about.

Maybe Jeeter would like to give up his multi-million dollar house and the carbon footprint that goes with it. Another hypocritical ass trying to throw us a bullshit ball.

Wonder what it costs for AC and electric a month. $10,000?

Yeah, and the Boxing Day earthquake and tsunami were man-made and caused by global warming! Why does this nonsense remind me of the earthatcenterofuniverse thinking back during the dark ages? Things on earth cause the changes in the universe instead of the other way around.

I thnk we aren’t having more natural disasters. They are more publicized now, and more people actually read about them. After all in the 50′s did anyone really care that much about a Tsunami in Japan? But now reporters act like every story is occuring right in your back yard and thus is of extreme importance to you, personally. My local news does it all the time. Car swallowed by sinkhole” And when you hear the story it happend in Ukraine or something. I mean, really?

WE have one continuing natural disaster, now entering it’s fifth year, it’s called Obama…..But low intelligence voters pay no attention, unless they include coupons for free shit or topless photos of some star…

Looks like Derek knows his days of playing baseball are numbered, so he’s trying to get into politics. Being from NY, he want’s to be a Commiecrat.

Were they having a “topless” winter baseball tourney? No wonder Jeeter was there, he is giving them the high hard one…so to speak.

Another star believing his own press. I noticed his “house” wasn’t touched during Sandy.

What does a baseball player know about climate change? Now if you asked him how to keep the wife from finding out about the mistresses then he might be your guy. He or Wade Boggs

I started to say Kobe, but he really didn’t do a very good job keeping hiswife in the dark.

sa_rose:”Kobe”

They say Kobe is now trying to get back with his wife and may pull it off. I saw today that the singer Rhianna is going out with Chris Brown again, who is on probation for beating the daylights out of her. I believe she said that during the attack she was briefly knocked out and even feared for her life.

Yea, but “he didn’t mean it.”

Isn’t that the standard line given by abused women before they’re found dead?

So a guy can hit a ball with a stick. First, people will watch him on TV enough, buy the products he pushes enough, and buy tickets to a game enough, to buy that house. Then, they’ll listen to his political philosophy as if it means something. There’s something wrong here.
