DUDE: Don’t show this chart to Grandpa… Dude, grandpa already knows about this chart, so does grandma. Ask either of them how hard it is to find a decent doctor who takes Medicare. Our retirement medical plan is to change our last name to Garcia and get better medical for free.

Death panels in disguise. All brought to you by the dim wits, barry and Chief Justice John Roberts.
Just a picture of what is to come. It might be time to find a tribal medicine man.

It’s not a catastrophic failure of gargantuan proportions, it’s a TAX!

Now that we are finding out what is in the ACA, people are coming to the conclusion that it really does suck.

What is more likely to happen, at least in the short term, is that there will be practices set up like the one my FIL goes to.
The Dr services only medicare patients that have a certain medicare insurance plan, like Humana.
This is common in Florida.

If I WERE in the market for such a plan, it wouldn’t be HUMANA, at least not until they get rid of Larry King as their spokesman.

I have no idea what channel they’re on, because all my favorite show are recorded automatically for watching later while fast-forwarding the commercials. But he’s there a lot, and I can’t stand the sight of the ass.

I was pretty amazed a number of years ago by something a group of Mormons did. I was leaving California for Pennsylvania to do a huge Renaissance Faire, got as far as Amboy, CA.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amboy,_California
My truck broke down. Not so bad it couldn’t be driven, but it was NOT going to pull my 17,000 pound trailer back to civilization. I had to leave the trailer, limp to Yucca Valley with the truck, and leave it for repairs, which took two weeks. My entire life was in that trailer, so I hitchhiked back to Amboy to stay with it. It was August. Average daytime temp in the low to mid 120′s.
Day 10, a gentleman stopped by to say that he’d seen me sitting there under my awning reading a few times as he drove by, and wanted to make sure I was ok. I told him my story, and he said he would talk to the people at his church the next day, and see if he could find someone with a one-ton truck with fifth-wheel hitch to come and get me, take me back to town. Little did I know that when he said HIS church, he meant that he was the Deacon of a Mormon congregation in Yucca Valley.
The next morning, two old guys in a Ford F-350 hooked me up and we headed for Yucca Valley. 75 miles. I offered to buy them a tank of fuel, they declined. I told them that they could park me in the dirt field next to the diesel shop that was doing the work on my truck, but they said the Deacon had given them money to pay for two weeks in an RV park in town.
Later on, when my finances were better, I offered to pay the church back for their kindness, they declined. I DO NOT speak badly of Mormons.
