Here in Tasmania, we have a very similar language which has almost identical spelling to yours. (In fact, apart from a few old-fashioned types such as I, who prefer the flavour of manœuvre and judgement, and the like, the spelling is rapidly becoming the same as yours.)
Anyway, here is in Tasmania, a small bit of temperate paradise—if it weren’t for the Greens and the “progressives”, and a long record of inept administration—it wouldn’t take too many well-intentioned immigrants, since the population is under 500,000 and aging, to outvote the fruitcakes and enviro-loonies, take back the Government, and make it a real bit of paradise on Earth: a shining Pharos, a last lantern of civilisation…
Just a thought.

Wow.. Tasmania hadn’t occurred to me.. in light of those libertarian enclaves already being built in Honduras, you’d think a sizeable island would hold immediately greater appeal (isolation, cohesion, proximate linguistics)

Here are some real estate prices in the capital city http://www.realestate.com.au/buy/in-hobart%3b+/list-1?preferredState=tas or away in the countryside http://www.realestate.com.au/buy/in-pyengana/list-1?source=location-search.

Are the prices in US or AU dollars, and if AU, what is the conversion rate?
What is the weather like?

Hobart, the capital at 42°52′S 147°19′E, has a mild, temperate oceanic climate, with an average low to high temperature of 8.3ºC (43.9ºF) to 16.9ºC (62.4ºF). The February average is 21.6ºC (70.9ºF) and the July average is 4.5ºC (40.1ºF). Some places in the highlands are much cooler, and up the east coast is warmer.

Ya but AU, I understand, has some actual requirements for entry, besides being able to row ashore and find the nearest welfare office.
You got those monster spiders there that are on the mainland?

NZ has spiders too. For Tasmania’s more lethal fauna, see my “Playing with Fire” We have red-backs here, but our funnel-webs aren’t like the lethal Sydney Funnel-Web spider.
If you have enough money to buy property and support yourself, immigration is easy. Otherwise, turn up in a boat, without a passport, and eventually a comfy life on welfare is only a few years away.

Your offer is tempting, but If i moved I’d not be able to see my children.
Also, I can’t afford to buy property.
Also, I’m already familiar with the edible flora and fauna of the States.
Additionally, somebody has to stay here and keep the national intelligence level above absolute freezing, but thanks for the offer.

There’s hope. It’s just not in the Republican party. We’ve tried it the establishment way, and instead of winning the Presidency and taking back the Senate, we have to settle with keeping the House. I don’t blame the masses for not voting for Romney, the Republican party is impotent. It’s weak. It has no foundation to stand on. This was the moment we had to show who we are. What we believe. The Republican candidate did not contrast Obama enough or speak to our core fundamental principles enough. The only reason I voted for Romney was because I thought the fight against Romney would be easier than the fight against Obama.
I’ve argued on this site before that we need to vote based on principle and Romney does not cut it. As the election went on I accepted the fact that Romney was not perfect by any means, but was better than Obama, and I willingly voted for him because I thought he had a chance. Going forward we have two options, go back to the Constitution. Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness (well Declaration of Independence, but the Constitution enforced that belief), or compromise and agree to go along with the Progressive Marxist. The establishment leaves us with one choice! The establishment will take us closer to the Democrat party than it will the Constitution!
This is the hour that we should learn from our mistakes. We tried it the establishment way and we failed. We have a choice, try it the establishment way next time, and even if we win nothing will be accomplished, or we can vote for and promote candidates who actually believe in something. Now more than ever is why we need a third party. One that actually believes what it says and doesn’t apologize for it.

Schism in GOP is too great.. I’m assuming Romney has principles, but had to say things he couldn’t unsay, just to survive those primaries

IDK if you’ve ever read the left behind series, but there are parts in it that seem to be not so far-fetched.
I once thought that America would be the nation to stand with Israel @ Armageddon. After last night, I’m not so sure. Especially considering that debs has Jewish blood, yet follows barry like a dog sniffin’ a bitch in heat, and we know how little regard barry has for Israel, well, barry probly doesn’t care one way or the other. Soros, on the other hand.
oh let’s not forget barry’s promise to pukin.
