Ah ha. It is the gasoline powered cars that are causing this slaughter. We need to ban gasoline powered cars. There were hardly any deaths by electric golf carts last year. So simply make everyone drive a vehicle that only goes 18 holes (In my case that would be about 40 miles but requires a couple recharges) and doesnt exceed 10 mph. There, what’s the problem?

Ban life. In the end it’s fatal. There! Solved the insolvable.

Is life fatal or is time fatal? If there’s an afterlife than life is not fatal, if there’s not than it’s time that’s killing us. I think a federal mandate stopping the progression of time would go a long way to ending everything bad.

Isn’t time is a man-made construct? I’m certain that it is life that is killing us. Has to be.

Our perception of time may be man-made. How we count it, how we deal with it, yes man-made. We’re made to live in four dimensions, with time allowing us to exercise the first three and allowing us to live our unique lives, but without time there would be no life. Everything would be still and nothing could happen. So I personally think time is the problem. We need to ban this terrible terrible thing.

Okay, then I’m with you. We must ban time. It would solve everything. Utopia at last.

Floyd are legends, but not exactly my speed. I would love to see them though. As for punk, not much into punk, however, there is a band I saw 3 times last year that is a combo of punk, rockabilly, & metal, with a touch of Johnny Cash. Volbeat is a Danish outfit that kicked my ass when 1st saw them live on Valentine’s Night as part of “Gigantour”, & I’m seeing them again this April in Minneapolis & maybe Winnipeg. Here is some live sh!t from Wacken Open Air last summer…

…best new band I’ve seen in 15 years. Incredable live band.

If you want to hear some freaky-deaky music, check out early Floyd, when Syd Barrett was the main guy.
Their albums The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, Saucerful of Secrets, Ummagumma, and Atom Heart Mother are the stuff acid trips are made of.
But then there’s Tangerine Dream (they did some of the music for Risky Business) and Curved Air.

Time is fluid. Man has tried to tie it down, give it limits and rules, but Time ignores it all. Past, Present, Future, its all the same.

You sent me looking, this is free @ IMdb, scared the bejabbers out of me as a kid watching an old b&w rerun
http://www.imdb.com/video/hulu/vi2883299097/
Just watched it again, woo, funny watching it now and looking back at the fears, from here and now. {insert themes song, HERE}
IMbd is free, just give them a throwaway Email addy, but their library is huge, even Lost In Space episodes for PsychoDad, loads of old stuff, and some cool Indie shorts if you have the patience.
And Rose? You owe me a recipe, lmao, but you owe me an original.

Long time ago, I asked for a ‘real’ family recipe you got and loved from your mom or G-mom, said you’d get back to me… think we both forgot.
Some reason this thread reminded me of it, ‘real’ food, I don’t cook often but I’d like to try what you think is worth sending.

OK Sure. How about an easy one; Granny’s Mac and cheese
cook about 1/2 box of pasta (elbow, rigatta, penne)leaving it al dente.
In a container mmix 1 egg. lightly scrambled, 1 c of whole miolk (actually you can use anything, even evaporated milk) salt and a fair amt of black pepper to taste. Grate about 6 oz of xheese (we use sharp cheddar). Butter (or spray a cassserole dish. Layer pasta, cheese and the mmilk and egg ixture, leaving the top layer cheese (or bread crumbs if you prefer.) Cook in a 350 degree oven for about 30-45 minutes. Let sit for a few minutes, then serve. Not like reg mac and cheese with a sauce, but delicious!
Controversial. What do you think?

One major problem, if we stop the progression of time, then we will never see the end of the Obama term in office!
That will make everything worse!

You’re right. Let’s speed up time instead and get this crap over with. Granted I’d have to give up my late 20′s and shoot right to my 30′s, but it’s a sacrifice I’d be willing to make. Just give me a couple weeks to buy more guns. You know, in case it really really sucks when we get there.

There are many ways to commit suicide or accidentally die. Guns are one of those means, yet millions of people handle guns in this country on a daily basis and sleep peacefully at night with their family and loved ones in tact. So what’s your point? Fact is, far more guns are used for peaceful means by millions of law abiding citizens in this country than are ever used to harm another person. Do a little research and you’ll find countless times where citizens saved lives with their guns from evil people, just don’t look to the MSM because they don’t report it.
So what’s your point again?

George Polanin, 66, went to bed early one evening only to be awakened by noises coming from inside his home. He was upstairs and followed the sound of footsteps to the basement. when he reached the stairs. Polanin said he could see only the intruder’s feet. “… I got my weapon and basically told him I had a weapon, it was loaded and I will use it,” Polanin said. He then ordered the intruder to come out as he dialed 911. Polanin held the intruder at gunpoint until police arrived. (Kenosha News, Kenosha, WI, 10/17/12)

The one about the young Mom whose husband was deployed, some neighborhood yahoo tried to break in and do harm to her and/or her infant daughter. She shot him and protected herself, her daughter and her home. Sounds fair to me

Not necessarily, since firearms are hardly necessary for suicide. There about five (5) licensed handguns in Japan, apart from police and military, and they still have one of the highest suicide rates in the world.
To be fair, suicide is still considered socially acceptable in Japan in a way it is not in the West.

though you got me wondering, what are the most likely methods they use to off themselves (the Japanese guys especially.. i tend to believe that females go for the pills/wrists)

I knew 3 people that committed suicide, 1 teenage boy, 1 30 something woman, 1 30 something man.
The boy hung himself in the family’s garage.
The woman took a bunch of Tylenol PM ad wine, then did the carbon monoxide thing.
The man did the carbon monoxide thing too.
I guess it all depends on the person.

My ex-fiance, may she rest it peace, walked up in front of me, pulled my own pistol from behind her, put it to her chest, and took her life. Hands down, the worst day of my life.
I still don’t blame the gun.

She had numerous issues, both physical and mental, and somehow managed to be a beautiful woman, and a beautiful person through it all. I would have done anything to help her, but she wouldn’t believe me.
Suicide is a terrible thing, but the tool used to commit suicide is not to blame.

True of so many suicidal people. THey can’t imagine getting any better, and can’t live with the way they are. If we blamed the tools for suicides, we wouldnt have multistory buildings, bathtubs. cars or electricity. You cannot blame an inanimate object for how it is used.

Yea, my wife tried to claim she doesn’t snore, I taped her one night, then I was in the doghouse.
My ex wife said she didn’t fart, until we were camping one weekend, and I got amorous. I was under the sheets “approaching from below” when she ripped the worst smelling poot I ever encountered! Then she said she must have been saving that up all her life. Really killed the mood!

Oh my! Well, I am asleep, so I don’t know – but my husband laughs and says it’s cute. I would never EVER let one loose when I am awake, but apparently when I sleep, I have no control. He hasn’t asked for separate sleeping quarters yet, so I guess it’s OK
