Federal government experimented on premature babies. As part of a controlled experiment on 1,316 babies, oxygen monitors were intentionally altered to provide false readings to hospital caregivers so oxygen levels would not be manually adjusted according to babies’ needs. As a result, those getting high levels developed vision problems and those getting low levels developed brain damage. Some died. That was in 2006. Since then we’ve decided to give these heartless bureaucrats total control of the nation’s healthcare system.
