Fox News honcho Rupert Murdoch has a lot to smile about.

Fox News is racking up the highest ratings in its 13-year history.

The overall ratings at Rupert Murdoch’s network have shot up a remarkable 33% among Total Viewers and up 44% in the Adults 25-54 demographic in the last year. In primetime (Monday-Friday) the network’s dominance is even more shocking. It’s up 35% in Total Viewers and up 54% in younger viewers.

MSNBC and CNN have all but ceded primetime to Fox News, which racks up more total viewers and more younger viewers than the two runner up cable news networks combined.

You probably won’t find the following list taped on the refrigerator in the employee lounge at either MSNBC or CNN. It shows that Fox News has all ten of the most watched programs on cable news:

TimeProgramTotal Viewers
8pmO’Reilly Factor3,188,000

9pmHannity2,341,000
5pmGlen Beck 2,053,000
10pmOn the Record1,950,000
6pmSpecial Report1,889,000
7pmFox Report1,757,000
11pmO’Reilly Factor1,579,000
9amAmerica’s Newsroom1,399,000
4pmYour World1,389,000
3pmStudio B1,169,000

MSNBC and CNN to both hitched their wagon to Obama’s horse. The horse has gone lame.

I am surprised that Murcdoch has not given FOX Affiliates the opportunity to challenge CBS,NBC and ABC’s evening news offerings with O’Reilly.
The “Factor” could and should garner better ratings than any of the big 3 networks.

I’ve wondered the same thing! Fox broadcast network should have a world news feed at 6:30PM EST using the same editorial policies and strategy that Fox News uses. Bet it would wipe out All Barack Channel (ABC), National Barack Channel (NBC), and Citizen of Barack Station (CBS).

I asked a bunch of lefties on Digg who hate Fox News why they thought it always had the highest ratings. They said it was because old people fell asleep and left their TV’s on tuned to Fox all night!

National Headliner Awards announced, CNN leads the pack with 13, NBC follows with 12. Number of awards for FOX News A big fat zero, as in 0. Because FOX News is not a real news network, it is nothing more than a propaganda outlet for the Republican party. The real measure of a news network is the number of journalism awards they get, not their ratings. That is why NBC, PBS, and CNN win all the awards, because they do real journalism. Ratings are for entertainment shows, which is what FOX News is, entertainment, especially the Glen Beck Show.

Whaddya bet that CNN and NBC would trade their awards for the ratings and revenues in a heartbeat?

Who needs revenues generated by ratings when you’ve got a president funneling 126 billion in taxpayer’s money to your parent corporations?

It’s actually about $330billion when you throw in guaranteed loans from Uncle Sam/we the taxpayers. GE/NBC/Universal is a GSE, or Gov’t Sponsered Entity.

Does FoxNews really lean as right as some think? Or do they look more right then they really are because so many news outlets just piled on to the left side of the boat? Whatever the answer is, what pisses the left off is that FoxNews kicks a$$ in the ratings over their prefered channels, & there is nothing they can do about it.
