Actress Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband, rocker Chris Martin, both bleed green. At least publicly. But privately, well, that’s a different matter.
A recent independent audit shows that their London home “leaks” energy. And a lot of it — more than 1,000 kilowatt hours of heat per year. In fact, the Times of London reports that thermal images of Paltrow/Martin and nine other high-profile English eco-wackos found that their homes’ heat loss was no better than what’s found in the average family home and often worse.
Paltrow spouted off in support of England’s “Act Green” energy conservation campaign. Martin planted mango trees in India to “offset” CO2 emissions produced by his band’s second album.
We don’t actually know if Paltrow is embarrassed by this revelation. But we doubt that anyone who names her kid Apple and calls Madonna her best friend could be embarrassed by much of anything.
