Harry Reid confused, but Nevada voters aren’t

Democrat Senator Harry Reid salutes the voters of Nevada

Harry Reid looked stupid three times in one news conference on Tuesday. And that’s not a smart thing to do on a day when a poll showed he’s unlikely to be re-elected by Nevada voters.

First, when asked if Teddy Kennedy’s cancer was in remission, Reid answered, “As far as I know, it is, yes.” A Kennedy spokesperson declined to comment, the classic form of denial in Washington, DC.

Then Reid noted that Senator Robert Byrd would soon be released from the hospital. A Byrd spokesman later said, “…his doctors, in consultation with his family, have not yet determined when he will be released.”

Finally, Reed didn’t know his own party’s position on Gitmo detainees. “Part of what we don’t want is them be put in prisons in the United States,” Reid said. But that differs significantly from what the administration has said.

When asked if President Obama’s position put his Democrat colleagues in an awkward position, Reid said, “Not at all.” But when Reid’s second-in-command, Senator Dick Durban was asked the same question, he clearly contradicted his boss and answered, “Yes.”

Reid’s errors came on a day when a poll showed that only 35% of Nevada voters would vote to re-elect him.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, “Nearly half of Nevadans have had enough of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid as the powerful Democrat heads into his re-election campaign, a new Las Vegas Review-Journal poll finds.”

“About a third of the state’s voters would re-elect Reid if the 2010 election were held today, according to the poll, but 45 percent say they would definitely vote to replace him. Seventeen percent would consider another candidate.”

So even though Harry screwed up, the voters got it right.

Harry is such a wimp, he makes Perez Hilton look macho in comparison! I love how Rush owned Reids mealy mouthed arse with that letter auction two years ago, and the cheapskate wuss still hasn’t donated a dime to cause Rush so generously funded. What a waste of flesh this arsewipe Reid is!

The problem with politicians that are in the government too long – they believe they are nobility. That is why the Constitution is in the way – today it is fasionable to the Left to be Marxes and Socialists. They want to ride in the limos and have us ride bikes like in Asia. Their perfect world is to control us – have us ask permission to take a poop. Look at who protects the Left – the media. No investigation – no truth in news – no information given to the citizens of how corrupt this Administration is – look closely people – we are the frogs in the pot on the stove – gradually the heat is turned up to boiling.
