According to The Hill, “Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said the Senate needs to have a ‘Rodney King’ moment in its healthcare debate.”
We assume the vile old codger isn’t requesting that cops beat him senseless, but rather that we should all just get along.
How convenient that Harry should want to break out the kumbaya songbook after all the indignities dished out by the Whitehouse and the Democrats on their GOP opponents. Not to mention Harry’s own speech in which he compared Republicans to Nazis, klansmen, communists and terrorists.
So now that his party has steamrolled its way to what they consider victory, Harry wants the Senate to return to it’s “gentlemanly ways”?
That’s not called a Rodney King moment, Harry. It’s called a senior moment, where everyone just forgets the whole thing.
Sorry, Harry, our memories might be fading just a little bit, but odds are good that we’ll remember recent events quite clearly in November, 2010

Obama’s White House Behind “Perpetuity” Clauses in Nazi Health Bill
December 29, 2009 (LPAC)—President Obama and his top aides were directly involved in drafting the clauses in the Senate health bill which attempt to prohibit any future Congress from ever altering the Nazi “T-4″ cost-cutting policies emitting from the Independent Medicare Advisory Board.
As EIR’s investigations have revealed, the secret clauses were inserted into the Senate bill during secret negotiations that took place behind closed doors in Harry Reid’s office between October 14 (the day after the Senate Finance Committee approved its version of the health bill), and October 26, when it was announced that negotiations had concluded. The Reid bill was filed in the Senate on November 19, at the point where Reid was certain he was close to having 60 voters to overcome a Republican filibuster.

My dog sleeps about 20 hours a day. He has his food prepared for him. He can eat whenever he wants, 24/7/365. His meals are provided at no cost to him. He visits the Dr. once a year for his checkup, and again during the year if any medical needs arise. For this He pays nothing, and nothing is required of him. He lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than He needs, but He is not required to do any upkeep. If He makes a mess, someone else cleans it up. He has his choice of luxurious places to sleep. He receives these accommodations absolutely free. He is living like a king, and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever. All of his costs are picked up by others who go out and earn a living every day. I was just thinking about all this, and suddenly it hit me like a brick in the head, Holy crap, my dog is a democrat
I want to thank PoliticalCircusBlog for my having to clean a cup of coffee off of my computer screen!!! That is damn funny and spot on. Thanks for starting the year off on a good note….
I hope like hell that Danny Tarkanian gives Harry Reid a Rodney King style political beating. Reid is a dirtbag of the highest order, & needs to go away. If it is Tarkanian he faces, & I think it will be, Reid will have an even bigger hill to climb. One thing is that Danny Tarkanian does not need to build his namebrand, everybody in Nevada knows the name Tarkanian, since his father is Jerry Tarkanian, who coached UNLV basketball for many years with great success, including 4 final 4’s & the 1990 National Title. Danny played for the old man, he’s been part of the Vegas community forever, & I think we will stomp Harry Reid into a mudhole.
