Hillary Clinton in Arctic to see impact of climate change. “US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton took a first-hand look Saturday at the way a warming climate is changing the Arctic, opening the region to competition for vast oil reserves.” Important gubbermint business which, unfortunately, prevents her from participating more vigorously in the election campagin.

But really now – they do seem to have a problem with simple instructions, e.g., do this, and don’t do that. That’s why they can’t seem to wrap their brains around the concept of a constitution.
Also, they are hard-wired busybodies who consider any job in gov’t to be nothing more than a general license to be a hard-wired busybody and tell everyone everywhere what to do.

Perhaps while she is there she could dine on some of the local glow in the dark tuna. I hear it is to die for.

Let’s assume for a second that GW, not AGW, is actually happening, and I think that it is happening. I also think it could easily turn on us and go the other way. But let’s assume its going to keep warming for a while.. a generation or two. The potential of untapped reserves of oil could finally being accessible is a very good thing for the whole world. To say nothing of the new trade routes that would be opened because of this. If America is dumb and slow enough to miss out on this economic boom opportunity then we deserve to suffer the consequences. Does anybody really think that ANY South American country and untold other nations worth their industrial salt would NOT take advantage? We are fools not to jump on this.. fools not to fight for it!

Robert Zubrin had interesting things to say along these lines

I’ve followed him casually since he was making case for Mars early nineties

We have a question. Will one look from her cause more icebergs to melt or freeze? Enquiring minds want to know.

Seems to me like she’s just floating from place to place with no real purpose other than to enhance her resume for what comes after November with stuff like this. Bam is a wimp & loser, and is anyways consumed with fundraisers. He has no real foreign policies to enact. She can do pretty much as she pleases.
Deep down I think she is brimming with Schadenfreude.

Agree. Meanwhile, her husband and other prominent “New Democrat” types are going around saying, “Aw shucks, Bain Capital ain’t so bad.” If this were the old USSR and the Politburo members were saying similar stuff about the Premier, it would be a signal for him to start lining up a retirement dacha for near future occupancy.

Looks like she’s been blessed with Al Gore’s impeccable timing. The same weekend it’s announced that drilling up north will be delayed due to excessive seasonal ice.

Excessive seasonal ice, snow and wind are all signs that AGW is real. That’s Al Gore Wind.
