HILLLARY ON LIBYA: ‘WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?’ Oh? Only that we have a dead US Ambassador and 3 dead US citizens due to someone’s “incompetence and gross negligence,” that’s all. Talk about callous.

Controversial. What do you think? Thumb up 6 Thumb down 4

She is talking about the notion that there was a protest, not the deaths..

with all due respect, the fact is, we have FOUR DEAD AMERICANS. Was it because of a protest, or was it because of guys out on a walk one night who decided to kill some Americans? What difference, at this point, does it make? It is our job to figure out what happened, and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again

I do not agree that she is being callous about the deaths

Sorry but I do. They lied for days about this being a protest. They knew damn well it was a terrorist attack, not a protest. They had plenty of intel this was a problem area. They knew there had been other attempts. They ignored it. She ignored it. What happened is she and her staff screwed up. There’s no need to figure anything out. The lying bitch already knows what happened. No she’s callous, not to mention the other “C” word.

i will agree that she was callous about the way information unfolded, and the potential political consequences (given that administration had a strong AlQaeda is defeated narrative, and an Election to win..).. I fell for the protest-as-cover for attack idea for days (seemed natural, given that there were a couple dozen violent protests all over the planet at various embassies)

I have so many problems with how this whole thing was handled, that I think that we have to look at everything.

I don’t take her “What difference does it make?” remark as a “what’s done is done, let’s salvage what we can, and not go down the rabbit hole chasing trivia”, but instead as a parricide’s statement of “what difference does it make? I’m an orphan now, so I should be able to collect my parents’ pension.”

Her plan is as transparent as glass to me. If she goes on the attack, the press will treat this as another episode where those nassty republicans are persecuting poor little Hillary, allow her to change the subject, avoid accountability again.

You see, these aren’t just any four dead Americans. These four were her responsibility, and she failed them over and over, in ways both negligent and cynically political.

No, the reason you are there is because you were caught lying about what happened, and they are trying to find out where the narrative came from!
Now the admin is sending 20 F-16′s and 200 tanks to Egypt! They are run by the Muslim Brotherhood, and we are giving our enemies weapons to fight us! Egypt now has 240 F-16′s, which is more than Israel has, and the Egyptian president once said that they only have 2 enemies, the US and Israel!
We keep sending aid to our enemies, which is nuts! In 2012 we sent the following aid to the Middle East:
Afghanistan $15 Billion (includes military training and equipment)
Israel $3.1 Billion
Pakistan $2.1 Billion
Iraq $1.7 Billion
Egypt $1.6 Billion
What is wrong with these numbers? We keep sending money to people that want to and try to kill us! Israel is the only one on the list that isn’t actively shooting at US citizens!

I figure it was their job to keep it from happening in the first place. In other words, she is a failure. But we knew that.

I agree they fucked up… they went all soft power in Libya.. Stevens was popular there, we saved that city, and they were utterly naive about a gathering enemy (this is fairly typical of liberals)..

My original comment was very narrowly scoped: I don’t think she was callous about the deaths. That is all. She seems callous about the way information unfolded to the public.. I grant that in another comment.

But not the deaths themselves, which the OP seems to assert. I believe they saddened her as they did all of us. I believed this about Obama and those kids in Newtown, too. Many of you do not appear to believe that Democrats can grieve, as I do.

I’ve known too many Dems to think they suffer from an endemic condition as you perceive. There are scheming pols of all stripes, both within and outside the public sphere. We have idiots like Maxine Waters and Steve King representing both sides of the aisle just fine.

If she wasn’t callous about it she would have done something to prevent it in the first place. Give it up dude what she did is indefensible.

Sir, our man in Benghazi is under attack, just as he said was likely. The live feed is on in the situation room.

Okay, get State on the blower and ask Hillary if she has any other information than that bull we sent her.

Well, yes. We’ve invested a few million dollars in carpets and artwork for the offices, more to the liking of the new local regime.

So what about that fence they blew up two weeks ago?

Achmed al Fredovich, the repairman requested some thicker gauge wire to patch the hole and some more bricks. Not sure if he got around to it yet.

Okay, Hillary. This video feed isn’t nearly as interesting as that Abbotobad shit we had on in May. I’m going to Vegas. Handle this and I’ll talk to you later. G’bye.

Neil, Bob, whichever one of you is mixing for the bar, make me something new. I do not like watching this at all when there are so many other things I care about waiting for me.

Yes, ma’am.

DON’T call me ma’am in that tone of voice.

Yes sir, secretary. Here is a new drink I think you might like.

Oh, yes. This is delicious. It makes my feet all floppy! Whoops!

give it up LOL. When does that request ever work on the interwebzz?

It would be callous is she knew beforehand that there’d be deaths.. I’d rather attribute it to the usual liberal naivety. Too much trust in the friendly militia, not enough vigilance regarding gathering enemy

And it was my understanding that the walls were hardened and raised, and Stevens personal security detail was increased from 3 to 5. So to me it doesn’t seem that every request was refused.. Correct me if i’m wrong on that

What they never saw coming was a heavily armed company-scale assault (120-150 men afaik), probably using weapons scavenged from Khadafi regime, in the same way that Algerian insurgents scooped them up from Libyan south .. (even ending up in Mali). Leaving those arsenals unsecured was a huge error.

I will have to give it up at some point.. got a $#*()# meeting in 15m

I don’t think that a person can turn down multiple requests for additional security and not be culpable for what happens after. In general, I’m easy to get along with — a person who says “I screwed up” gets plenty of room for understanding. A person who knows they screwed up, and went on to screw up in the aftermath to the point of being a cover up, and handles inquiries into the situation by going on the offensive? Not so much. I am very leery of “leaders” that play fast and loose with the lives of others, but won’t even admit even a token amount of the blame because it harms their career prospects.

I know Democrats can feel remorse. Unfortunately, many do not feel remorse for appropriate things — like actual human suffering (as opposed to having to pay for condoms), or that they maybe, just maybe, might be wrong. See, conservatives think many liberals are fools — but many liberals (especially this administration) cast their political actions as a battle between good and evil — allowing them all kinds of moral wiggle room in their “higher purpose”. This is why there is such a divide in our politics these days — as with islamic terrorists, how *do* you negotiate with a person that thinks you’re evil and wants to destroy you?

Who’s more compassionate? A person who thinks their political opponents are dumb, and lets them speak, or a person who thinks their political opponent is evil, and seeks to destroy them? Our modern bleeding hearticus liberalis dumbassii has turned a lot of logic on its head these days — and I kind of get sick of being treated as evil for having a different opinion of the government’s role in our lives.

She answered her own question. It matters because we needed to identify the REAL reason in order to prevent a repeat. Lying about a film instead of admitting that the attack was planned and the victims were left totally unprotected needs to be known and the people responsible need to pay.

She knows how to get a soundbite on the MSM nightly propaganda-casts. They will play this screech over and over again, and the image that will stay in the viewers’ minds will be the poor, SOS, still recovering from a brain operation and still grieving over the Benghazi deaths (resulting from the naive, screwball foreign policy her and her nitwit boss dreamed up, but that part will be left out) is verbally abused by a bunch of mean, nasty, WHITE REPUBLICAN MEN. Eventually this will become part of the GOP WAR ON WOMYN meme.

McCain is a Democrat. He doesn’t even TRY to act conservative. That’s why I always say I’m glad he lost against Obama. Had he won, he would have done pretty much all the same stupid crap Obama has done, only the horrible results would have been blamed on Conservative policies, even though the policies were actually Liberal.

Someone needed to remind her that the four where sons, brothers, dads and uncles you cold hearted bitch. She needs to have her own words coming back at her at every turn.

It was her statements about a pos of short film that was being spent like an empty merry go round.

Here’s hoping that she avoids the same fate as Vince Foster and Ron Brown. It might explain the story about her brain injury and falling.

The difference is letting people of your ilk set away with the lies until you get your way and bring us this

“European ‘No-Go’ Zones for Non-Muslims Proliferating”
-In France, large swaths of Muslim neighborhoods are now considered “no-go” zones by French police. At last count, there are 751 Sensitive Urban Zones… An estimated 5 million Muslims live in the ZUS, parts of France over which the French state has lost control.
