The whole “jobs created or saved” storyline created by the White House was silly to begin with. But it becomes even funnier when Obama sends his advisors out to talk it up on the Sunday talk shows and they quote wildly different numbers.
Politico.com reports:
The discrepancy was pointed out by a Republican official in an email to reporters noting that “Three presidential advisers on three different programs [gave] three different descriptions of the trillion-dollar stimulus bill.”
Valerie Jarrett had the most conservative count, saying “the Recovery Act saved thousands and thousands of jobs,” while David Axelrod gave the bill the most credit, saying it has “created more than – or saved more than 2 million jobs.” Press Secretary Robert Gibbs came in between them, saying the plan had “saved or created 1.5 million jobs.”
We know three jobs that shouldn’t be saved and never should have been created.

They all should have coordinated their lies, before they went on the Sunday talk shows.
Well if you listen closely… the saved jobs were all union jobs.. taechers, fireman, policeman.. wow manufacturing got the short end of that deal…
Do these people KNOW that people actually WATCH and LISTEN to what they have to say and if they say something stupid or erroneous IT WILL be questioned? It is almost as if they say: “hey let’s just go out there and say whatever that sounds good and it will be all good, since you know those people who watch are all stupid anyway…”
If I remember correctly it was AFTER the election and before he was sworn in that Obama used the word “saved”. Talk about a bait and switch! They know it is impossible to track any “saved” jobs, so these nitwits calculate that anybody that has a job, it’s a saved job. Oh joy.
And the world wonders why the US lags behind in math…..
They all seem to have the intelligence of a carrot. If you define things the way Washington does, they’ve “saved” the jobs of everyone who is still working.
