I was in DC for the march and I can say it was HUGE> I heard they were still coming in when the event ended. Our organizer said the highways were backed up and the roads blocked. We were told we were 1.5 million. When people guage the amount in photos please realize that many many many people are under the trees. The organizer said we did not have a permit for the Mall and so she called people to squish forward into the front of the stage crowd and to go to the sides of the stage, under the trees. I saw TONS of people there. And i heard they stretched down those side driveways and down the streets on the sides. And………………. we were told “see you next year!” ………Well for every person that attended there were at least ten people at home wishing they could have gone. If they all show up next year DC will be shut down.

I was proud to be there. Even more proud to out demonstrate the code pink pukes at Walter Reed. In case anyone dosent know they picket the wounded vetrans when they leave the hospital. We outnumbered them 10-1 but if your in DC take time and stand outside the gate with a support sign. Usually 6:30 on Fridays is when the wounded vets are bused into town. At the rally there were people as far as the eye could see in either direction and we had to start early because the staging area was overflowing. One thing to remember, we all had friends back home who wanted to be there but couldnt make it. The mainstream media has lost their designation, they are now the fringe media because that’s who they represent…..

No Ray, its not like that at all. For a security messaure the president is always relocated when a protest comes to town. You have 2million angry protestors, common now. But back to the orignial statement, yes i believe there were roughly 1.5 million if not more. Just think of all those who wanted to protest like myself but had more pressing matters. See yall next protest. No more Obama, no more big gov, and no more obamacare!

I was there on Saturday, 9/12. In fact, I went into town at 3:00 AM so as to meet up with a friend coming into Union Station from NYC.

I’m not an expert at estimating crowd sizes. However, as a lifelong resident of the D.C. area and one who knows the layout of D.C. very well, I can tell you for a fact that the estimates I hear from the media are way low.

Why does anybody even pay attention to the US media any more? European coverage is repeatedly citing the attendee number as 1 million or more, while the US talking heads describe it as a few fringe crazies. I’m Libertarian (not to be cofused with conservative) so I don’t even have a horse in the race, but the one-sidedness of American coverage is a true national embarrassment. No wonder all the publishing and media firms are headed for Chapter Eleven.

Seriously, did anyone really expect the media to really report actual numbers? Check out the pictures on Malkin’s site….they show A LOT more than “thousands”.

Leave it to the continuous Obama campaign machine to try and spin 1 million plus people protesting in Washington as “insignificant”. Afterall, the left always knows what’s best for us — since they think we are too dumb to run our own lives. Keep up the pressure — we are making progress!

It used to be only the black people, or 1/2 black, or less black, played the race card, and they are still the ones who mostly to it, but now the liberals do it when the conservatives, or whatever they want to call us, speak our minds.
