‘I have no use for money’: Bill Gates plans to use his billions to eradicate polio. No use for money? OK Bill, let us know when you give up your mansion, cars, private jet and all your other perks and move into a flophouse in downtown Seattle, then we’ll believe you.

Eh, at least he plans on actually doing something constructive with it rather than giving it to some lib-prop charity or the DNC. While I disagree with Gates’ politics, he at least does tend to put his money where his mouth is and try to be a good guy.

You’ve got to take the good with the bad. A few billion going to people who deserve it goes a long way towards making up for a few million spent on some crackpot climate change experiment.
He also makes a pretty good OS.

Big foundations, unless explicitly conservative at some point end up being shills for the left. I don’t see Gate’s foundation ending up any different. If/when conservatives get some leverage, one of the early agenda items would be to change the non profit laws and also force foundations based on fortunes left by billionaires to spend their endowments during a time measured in years not multiple decades.

Unfortunately, that’s a very anti-free-market/private property angle to take, and smacks uncomfortably of any leftist’s confiscatory inheritance tax scheme.

I’ll take him at his word. Worthy cause. At least he isn’t doesn’t seem to be a disingenuous ass like Buffett and complain about the tax code.

I’m okay with that. He didn’t write the tax code, Congress did.

I see no reason anyone should pay taxes on money they give to a legitimate charity.

8 million left the job force in the last 4 years, and this cocksucker says he has no use for money? Hmmmm-maybe he should give it to some veterans orgs. here in the states? Nahhh, he’d rather give it to 3rd world nations, so that the dictators therein can continue their genocide. Mission accomplished-polio eradicated as long as the dictators murder every last person with Polio…and with 65 billion or so, that’s a lot of fucking bullets to get the job done. Great move bill-you douche

Funny how people with money tend to dismiss how nice it is to have lots of it.

While I appreciate his charity, I wish he would take a few bucks and spend it on Microsoft’s totally worthless off shore so called technical support. Way back when, when I actually wasted my time calling them, they knew less about Windows than I did, and that was hard to accomplish. I suspect nothing has changed.

I too have no need for money, I just need the things it buys.
