We can only guess that they put the emphasis on the word “interfaith.” It says nothing about slaughtering people of minority sects of your own faith.

DISTURBING video has emerged of a bloody religious mob attack in Indonesia that killed three members of a minority Muslim sect, showing extremists beating and stoning their victims to death.
The incident, involving more than 1000 Muslims who stormed a house in West Java yesterday to stop the minority Ahmadiyah Islamic sect from holding worship, has been condemned by the government and rights activists.
Footage of the attack – which came at the start of “interfaith harmony week” in the mainly Muslim country – shows police doing nothing as scores of Islamic fanatics go berserk with stones, knives and sticks.
Shouting “Allahu Akbar” (God is Greatest) and “kafir” (infidel), the mob brush aside a lone police officer and launch a sustained attack on the house, as a small group of Ahmadis try briefly to defend the property.
Defenceless and half-naked Ahmadi men are then shown being beaten and stoned to death in the mud outside the house. Their bodies are pelted with stones and desecrated as members of the mob laugh and take pictures.
Oh, yeah, they laughed. And who could blame them? C’mon, what could be funnier than slaughtering members of your own religion during Interfaith Harmony Week. Now that’s funny.

I don’t remember the details but I believe an indonesian missionary or pastor last week or this past week was sentenced to prison for “blasphemy”. The Muslim community were ranting and raving wanting him to be sentenced to death for trying to convert people from Islam to Christianity. This too happened around this same time of the “event” of Interfaith.
I cannot watch this video. It is horrifying. The idea of hurting someone because they are Catholic is so foreign to me. Yes there has been the old Protestant vs Catholic thing (in the UK), but that was all political. It was all about political control than anything else. Real Christians on both sides suffered the most, the other things is that both sides were in essence equal in consequence and numbers. I can say that regardless of the misguided use of religion, it was an even fight/struggle. Even though politics may have something to do with this, I am very certain that these people do believe their sect to be better and that their god truly tells them to kill them. For all I know their god probably did. The victims posed no threat, they are a minority sect. This was not equal in any way shape nor form.
I don’t understand this level of hatred and demented behavior, it is beyond the mind there has to be some evil spiritual dimension involved. It is not normal to stand around and stone someone out of pure hatred and then laugh. Any religion where this is acceptable is demonic and I for one want nothing to do with it.

These are not Catholics being attacked/ They are other Muslims! Basically, I have seen better behaved chimpanzees, the only other species that murders its own.

I know… I was putting an example. As a Christian hurting another Christian of another denomination is unthinkable. There are those who may say that Catholics and Protestants had problems of similar nature at some point but my post was to differentiate.

If you think this is bad now wait until there’s a Califate. You should have seen the sectarian violence between ‘peaceful’ Muslims and their ‘peaceful’ Muslim neighbors during the Lebanese Civil War in the 80′s…the Sunnis hated the Shiites, the Shiites hated Hamas, Hamas hated Fatah, Fatah Hated the PLO, the PLO hated Hizb Allah, Hizb Allah hated the Druze, the Druze hated everybody, and they all hated the Christian Phalangists (Christian militia) and the sad thing was that all these groups (Hamas, PLO, Hizb Allah, Fatah) are the sick twisted step children of the Muslim Brotherhood!
