Rumors are running rampant that Miss California Carrie Prejean is reconsidering her decision to co-host the Fox News morning show.

Here’s how MediaBistro.com reports the story:

Fox News insiders tell TVNewser Carrie Prejean is having second thoughts about co-hosting Fox & Friends next Wednesday. “Prejean’s people emailed Friday night calling off the deal,” the insider tells us.

Prejean, the reigning Miss California who’s been in the headlines for her stand on gay marriage, is scheduled to fill in for vacationing Gretchen Carlson on Wednesday, May 27.

We hear negotiations continued through the weekend to try and salvage the booking. A Fox News spokesperson tells TVNewser Prejean is “absolutely still hosting.”

Say it ain’t true, Carrie. If you don’t appear on Fox & Friends we’ll be forced to continue watching Cops reruns on G4.

It’s a big jump for a girl that is barely out of her teens, still in college, to go from a beauty pageant to hosting on a major television network. Isn’t there usually some sequence to gain experience in public speaking? She’s got guts but this may not be the wise way to launch a career. Finish college and get some experience. She’ll always be one of the most beautiful and girls in the country.

Take a look at your 21 year old sons and daughters and ask your self if they could host on Fox???
