Delusional Department of Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano thinks the Christmas airline bomber proves that they system worked. Seriously. That’s what she said.

Politico reports that even CNN choked on the comment:
DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano said that the thwarting of the attempt to blow up the Amsterdam-Detroit flight this week demonstrated that “the system worked.”
Asked by CNN’s Candy Crowley on “State of the Union” how that could be possible when the young Nigerian who sought to set off the bomb was able to smuggle explosive liquid onto the flight, Napolitano responded: “We’re asking the same questions.”
Napolitano added that there was “no suggestion that [the bomber] was improperly screened.”
For god’s sake, Jan, disaster was averted only because one brave passenger tackled the guy, poured water on his burning balls, stripped him naked to make sure he had no additional explosives, and tied him up.
News flash for Janet Napolitano: that guy didn’t work for the DHS.

Janet the wacky lesbian screwed up Arizona leaving us with a billion dollar budget deficit. She got the call from Obama to head the DHS and, of course, ran to it like a rat leaving the proverbial ship.

all aircraft materials in the cabin are fire retardant, i.e., they will only burn as long as they are subjected to a flame from another source, they won’t continue to burn once that source is removed.
That being said, the real danger here would have been if he would have gotten the explosion he wanted. Only a comedy of errors prevented that from happening.

You know, for the first f–cking time I am speechless. But, you know what’s sad? 1) the fact that when I take a flight in January that I am going to be harassed, forced to take my shoes off, not be allowed to carry any bags onto the plane, and forced to sit in my seat like a criminal for the last hour of the flight, and 2) the fact that next summer gas prices will magically fall (contrast to how they were artificially inflated when Obama was runnin to hurt the Repubs), the Republicans will screw up their message, water it down to placate the media, leqading to the democrats stating in power.
This stupidity will be forgotten as Joe lunchbox enjoys his cheap gas and media bs.

We were all subjected to the humiliation of having every single body part fondled by security. Also, you cannot walk through any part of the Amsterdam airport without passing several security with large guns and gunpowder sniffing dogs. Add to that, we had to show our passports at every point and every passenger had to standin a long line to be personally interviewed as to why we were flying to the US and show our passports AGAIN before we were allowed to board. How the he** did this man get through? It makes me wonder if he was ushered through by a “higher power”.
A passenger claimed that he was sent to a manager type person and then magically passed through without his passport. So he thought a bribe was to blame…
What pile of crap does the liberal machine find these douches under? You would think with all of government from the states to the feds they could find one competent person by accident.
