Generous Joe Biden, now known as The Cheap Veep.

The White House has released Vice President Joe & Jill Biden’s 2008 tax return. It shows that Joe is pretty tight with a penny when he’s spending his own money instead of yours.

The cheap Veep reported an adjusted gross income of $269,256 and paid $46,952 in federal income taxes.

But here’s where it gets interesting. The Bidens donated less than 1% of their income to charity. A niggardly $1,885 to be precise.

With typical Biden bluster, White House memo clamied the Bidens had made other charitable donations not shown on the returns.

“The charitable donations claimed by the Bidens on their tax returns,” the memo said, “are not the sum of their annual contributions to charity. They donate to their church, and they contribute to their favorite causes with their time as well as their checkbooks.”

Attention, Cheap Veep: Donations to your church are deductible. If you really made them, why don’t you claim them? Even Tim Geithner’s Turbo Tax program would have picked them up for you.

The fact that this absurd claim was made in an official White House memo makes us even more worried about the Obama administration.

They all seem to be either ignorant of the tax code or willfully violating it. Either way is pretty frightening.

Wow perhaps, JOE, you should tell people to stay out of the US . . . meaning don’t come here to potentially catch the Swine Flu. I thought it was the job of the President and VP not to instill panic . . . read the facts and understand what you are talking about JOE! This is so contageous that we have 93 confirmed cases in the US – no citizen deaths out of a population of of billions . . . way to go Democrats!!!
