If that wide a margin actually occurred between popular and electoral votes, I am afraid that we would have a revolt. Not trying to be dramatic here, but I really see it.
If the spread was 49-48 and the popular winner lost the electoral, I think most Republicans would deal with it (if it were against the dem’s – the dems would complain forever, of course), but with an 12 percent spread? It would throw even the best behaved people over the edge.

The damned National Guard should be sent there. Philadelphia is even MORE corrupt than Chicago, it seems. I blame Eric Holder for this! These guys should have been slapped HARD after 2008. Honestly, I’m sad over what Philadelphia has become to the point it brings a tear to my eye. The place where our country was founded, freedom as we know (or knew) it was born, where men signed over their Lives, Fortunes, and Sacred Honor to create a free and prosperous nation, and now look at it, it’s unrecognizable.
Of course, I think you can still get a big gulp there, so it’s not all bad.
