Kanye is in the music business to make money. No different than any other business person out to get rich. Art is a very weak argument to separate himself from the 1%.

Since when was making art about getting rich, said the one worth 90 million dollars. Why not give $85 million away then? I wonder how many people could live in his $11 million mansion in Bel Air? I don’t follow music like I used to, but Justin Timberlake has some talent in my opinion. He can sing, play the piano, write some catchy songs, dance a bit, and do a bit of comedic acting. I remain unconvinced that rappers are talented, with maybe an exception or two.

Do you understand what it is you do?

You make music and SELL it to willing buyers. You go to a studio and tell people what to do in order to make the product be what you want it to be.

You stage a performance and SELL it to willing buyers. You go to a concert venue and tell people what to do in order to make the product be what you want it to be.

That makes you a business. There is no substantive difference between what you do and what the CEO of the company that made your car(s), phone, recording equipment, or the autotune hardware & software (without which, I suspect you would sell significantly less of your product).

Get over yourself.

The part about how beyonsay dances in heels and shit, so her superior talent was definitely overlooked when they honored Miss Swift, probably he figured because Miss Swift has no apparent excess melanin.
