An Obama Treasury choice with tax problems? Say it ain’t so! Oh, but it is.
Even the Huffington Post found itself reporting on yet another Obama-appointed tax cheat:
President Barack Obama’s choice for a top job in the Treasury Department did not disclose all of her late tax payments until she was repeatedly prodded by Senate investigators, a congressional report issued Wednesday said. Obama’s nominee for undersecretary of the Treasury for international affairs, Lael Brainard, is the fifth presidential nominee to reveal tax issues during the congressional vetting process. Brainard was late in paying real estate taxes in 2005, 2006 and 2007 on property in Northern Virginia, according to the report by Lael Brainard, Barack Obama, tax, Treasury Departmentthe Senate Finance Committee staff.
Call us crazy, but we would like to think that after the 4th time, somebody would really, really, really be checking out those taxes for nominee’s.
The story goes on to say:
The committee’s top Republican, Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, is unhappy that the committee staff had to submit 10 sets of questions to Brainard before getting complete information about the late payments.” But in her defense Grassley said, “The dollar amounts involved aren’t large compared to some other administration nominees this year, but the lack of candor, accuracy and timeliness in addressing the issues has been discouraging.”
We’re kind of discouraged ourselves, Sen. Grassley. We went with the odds in Vegas that the 5th tax cheat in this administration would be found in December 2009 not November 2009.

He and Congress are probably just getting the news that a Tea Party Tax Revolt is on the way… to let them know… It don’t run without the ordinary people Dude! Ordinary? That says it all doesn’t it?
If 6 million taxpayers tell him to stuff it. Will He and Congress get the message? That DC Dawg don’t hunt without the ‘ordinary people’. What’s good for his cronies is good for us too!
“Above the Law” was a sh*tty Steven Seagal film. Its also the policy Obama has for his pals. He writes “Change you can believe in” and I read “Do as I say and not as I do”.
Obama wants to force people to take his Obamacare package and then they have to go to jail if they don’t buy in otherwise they are ‘freeloaders’ and we can’t have that! Fair is fair!
Nice to know that when you are a political bedfellow of the Socialist in Chief that it is not longer an act of ‘freeloading’ to not pay what you owe. Fair is fair after all.
Its really the consistency of BHO that is the hallmark of his presidency. He is consistently a total JACKASS!
I am disappointed in Barry. That in itself is not news. I am disappointed this time because BHO missed the mark with this appointment and its process. Its not the whole ‘he/she is a tax cheat’ issue for the nominee. Its the position that was to be filled: If BHO had simply made the nominee to be in line for the job of Czar of Tax Evasion then there would BE NO ISSUE!
That whole ‘Treasury Department’ position was what made the drama for BHO. Look when its Czar of Tax Evasion and it turns out the Czar is a tax cheat then BHO can quell the public out cry with a few words from his teleprompter:
“My enslaved Americans, silence your outrage! The job was to be the Czar of Tax Evasion. You all stupidly thought that was a position to help catch and stop tax evasion. No, it is a job that helps in tax evasion. It aids in helping my friends and cronies to better and more efficiently evade their responsibility to pay taxes. But only those who are my friends get this help. You, the unwashed American masses, must all pay your fair share unless you like being a freeloader and want to go to jail. That is the sole aim for the Czar of Tax Evasion. Now if you will excuse me. Michelle needs the private jet to be fueled so she can go shopping, she is so brave to face the difficulty of spending all of your money as she does, what a courageous and glamorous woman, and I have to practice my bows for the next time I meet a leader of another nation.”
Death and Taxes…
No escaping the taxes part- unless you are part of the inner circle with Obama it seems. Then tax evasion just earns you a promotion.

So on that note of logic (and taken from an all too forwarded email)
