Heh. I deliberately gave my daughter “boy” toys when she was young. I had my brother get her a dump-truck push-toy for her first birthday (OMG! I found a pic of it – isn’t the interwebz AMAZING??? http://tinyurl.com/clvoxpc ) Anyway, 9 times out of 10, she would put her dolls or stuffed animals in it and use it as a stroller.
She also had toy guns, and I can just picture her and her dad chasing each other around the house “shooting” each other with their lights and (obnoxious) sound laser pistols.
I still would have bought her this Lego set. Just like I bought her Barbies and a mini-kitchen play center. If it’s fun, who cares? She is an adult now, and she is not a Barbie-wanna-be, a housewife, a hair stylist, a dump-truck driver or a serial killer (though, of course, I can’t be 100% sure about the last one).
These liberals are so shallow. Seriously. Like exposure to something somehow brands the child for life. Then again, libs are like that. Once they get an idea, it never ever EVER changes. So, I guess maybe THEIR children learn that from them. Maybe they shouldn’t buy this set for Susie unless they are guiding her to a life of doing hair.
