Then he leaves you with 2 kids to raise on your own. Despite having 2 degrees, this person cant find a decent paying job for 2 years. Where is someone like that supposed to stay? In a subway? Renting rooms is cheaper than opening up a homeless shelter and paying staff members.
If you'd really like a free cell phone and a free car and food stamps, quit your job and start making minimum wage so you can see how hard it really is to just be barely keeping your head above water. You better thank God you're not hungry and homeless, and you have heat in your own home and you don't have to encounter angry glares when you're at the check out line and the cashier is envious of your cart of food and food stamps. Be informed before you make those kind of statements.

Wait, I’m not done… You’ve gotten dupped by a foreigner who “falls in love” with you. Alright imagine if you will that a natural disaster has destroyed your home.
You need time to get a new place, but your job gets impatient with you and lays you off. Now you have no place. Now you go into this motel situation to have shelter...a basic necessity. Where else on earth would you want to be? In the streets? Good job on calling 1000 kids lazy loafers.

Lazy loafers?<br

The event has booked 100 rooms. The price is $129 a night. I would guess these rooms are normally about $300 a night or more. So imagine the state, with the power it has, the large number of rooms to book, and what should be a low-rent area. Any businessman could have gotten rooms, even with kitchenettes, for around half the price they are paying. And you know what, on top of this, add in the cost of the bureaucracy to run this program.

My wife and I are going to the San Diego area next month to one of the higher-end Marriots (as high end as they get).
