Is Maureen Dowd on the leading edge of liberals fleeing from Barack Obama?
It was a bad weekend in the media for Barack Obama. A very bad weekend, indeed.
Within a 12-hour period, Saturday Night Live did a scathing skit about his profligate spending. Chris Matthews compared him to Jimmy Carter. And to complete the trifecta, Maureen Dowd, New York Times columnist and queen of Inside-the-Beltway Liberals, penned this devastating review of the Obama presidency:
If we could see a Reduced Shakespeare summary of Obama’s presidency so far, it would read:
Dither, dither, speech. Foreign trip, bow, reassure. Seminar, summit. Shoot a jump shot with the guys, throw out the first pitch in mom jeans. Compromise, concede, close the deal. Dither, dither, water down, news conference.
Oh, one more thing while we’re at it: Gallup confirmed that Obama’s approval rating has now dropped below 50%.
How quickly things change. Just a couple weeks ago, the liberal media was fretting that Obama was losing the independents. Now the liberal media is fretting that he’s losing the liberals.

I know shes a clueless liberal, but God I love that red hair!
On a more serious note, why are so many people of Irish decent (and most Jews too) liberals? I have never been able to understand it. In my own family – the Irish side – people came here and had to work for everything. There was no welfare, except maybe for the church, in the early days there was blatant discrimination, and of course there was no affirmative action. Oh you also came to the US leaglly and were turned away if you were sick, insane, or otherwise nothing but a potential drain on society.
Now the sons and daughters of these great generations feel this great sympathy for criminals, illegals, welfare queens and are socialists and communists. What gives? I’ll never understand it.
Oh well. Regardless, I think shes freakin hot.
Someone needs to tell Obama that he’s supposed to lead, follow or get out of the way…but not all at once.
C’mon, Give him some credit.
We now have. Free healthcare. We’ve withdrawn all troops from Afghanistan and Iraq. We’re closing Gitmo and bringing it’s poor victims home for fair trials in our comfy courts, where they will have a chance to prove their innocense and possibly be released. We’ve determined that Cap and Trade is a MUST due to the “reality” of Global Warming. We’ve gained respect by those who hate us through ours leaders love for bowing to kings and emperors. We’ve finally appologized to the world for our arrogance and freedom. We’ve shared the wealth through our stimulus, with wealthy corporations. We’ve arranged the much needed tax hikes that will hopefully take place in 2010. We’ve accomplished the first black president, who unfortunately has proven that a well spoken person isn’t the one for the job no matter what skin color they have. We’ve heard 365 days straight, that the last administration left a mess. We’ve sent Airforce One and Two to Copenhagen to assure the world we are financially sound. We’ve opened relations with China who give us financial advice daily. We’ve adjusted the deficit!
We’ve made leaps and bounds in 2009.
C’mon 2010! Let the taxes begin.
Dowd is a narcissist like barry-if you do a google search of her-and click on images, she has about 50 headshots online. As a 30 year professional actor, I don’t have 50 headshots online-maybe 20-and I am a freaking actor. This woman loves herself in the same way Der Fuhrer loves himself….and it is incredibly damning for barry to have her, his second biggest fan, lay waste to him like that. That would be like Karl Rove disavowing W. It is truly damaging to the REGIME in the WH.
On another note, last november, I called all of this-I (when I had a fb page) said that by Christmas, barry would be done-the party would be laying him under the bus tires, and an impeachment and/or a criminal trial would be imminent-I just hope the birther movement comes to a head and it is proven that the conspiracy that involves the DNC ends this reign of terror!
Actually Matthew, Dowd has been laying waste to Obama from the time his administration decided to pain the “tea-baggers” as racists and nazis. It’s been months now that Dowd has been raking him over the coals in pulitzer-winning style.

I was making a un PC joke – I love redheads. But in all seriouslness, Titian tresses aside, I am at a loss for words at this point regarding liberals. To me 2 – 3 percent of liberals – the vanguard elite – are absolute liars who know that the BS they spout re economics, criminals, gun control, welfare illegal aliens, healthcare, environment IS ALL LIES; the other 97 -98 percent are just mindless assholes to a lesser or greater extent who belive what they are told becuase it conforms with their own rejudices and unfounded beliefs. For example, what would a lazy, poorly educated skell want to hear 1) that his crappy life is his own fault, that the fact that his tenement is covered in grafitti and the elevators are filled with urine is the fault of his peeps and a result of his unbelievable tolerance for crime and the attitude that “snitches get stiches” or 2) that his life is difficult becasue white men are oppressing him – as soon as all white people and hardworkers – black white hispanic asian are taxed and have their wealth redistributed all will be right and just with the world.
I know Dave-you gave me the perfect opportunity to lay it all out there, as to her looks-and her narcissism-you were my straight man…the Laurel to my Hardy. She was probably a looker when she was young-but now, there is a need for plastic surgery if you are going to call her a “looker”. She is however a word that rhymes with looker-at least to the left she is.
And what laying waste are you talking about Rick-cause I have missed all of that. She thinks barry is intelligent, thoughtful, etc-I have yet to read anything where she really calls him out for what he is-an America hating, Whitey hating apologist who will stop at nothing to completely destroy the country-and until the journalists out there say it like it is-they are far from “laying waste to barry”-they are laying with him!
The New York Times going negative on Barak Obama is like Jeremiah Wright leading a tea party, ACORN passing out Republican leaflets or Adam Lambert teaching Sunday school.
