Mayor warns Obama to stay away from Las Vegas

President Obama stuck his foot deeply in his mouth when he criticized Las Vegas for a second time this year.

“You don’t go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage,” he said at a New Hampshire town hall. “You don’t blow a bunch of cash in Vegas when you’re trying to save for college. You prioritize. You make tough choices. And it’s time your government did the same.”

Colorful Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman did not take kindly to the President’s remarks.

“I guess you’ve all seen the president’s remarks or read about the president’s remarks. Well, I’ve got some remarks of my own. I was back in Washington, D.C. about two weeks ago, going up and down the halls of the capitol telling people about our economy here, trying to get them to be sympathetic to what we’re trying to accomplish, then I have to read what President Obama said.

“He has a real psychological hang up about the entertainment capitol of the world. An apology won’t be acceptable this time, I don’t know where his vendetta comes from but we’re not going to let him make his bones by lambasting Las Vegas, that’s why (the press) is here today.

“He didn’t learn his lesson the first time, but when he hurt our economy by his ill conceived rhetoric, we didn’t think it would happen again, but now that it has I want to assure you, when he comes I’ll do everything I can to give him the boot back to Washington and to visit his failures back there.

“I gotta tell you this, everybody says I shouldn’t say it, but I gotta tell you the way it is. This president is a real slow learner.”

Or in the words of White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, the President is a f@cking retard.

I applaud the Mayor’s vision. He can start by doing all he can to keep Senator Harry Reid (D-Nevada) in permanent retirment.

When you’re done chuckling at the mayor calling Obama a real slow learner, watch the open letter to Obama from Rush:

Help me understand. Obama says “when you’re trying to save for college. You prioritize. You make tough choices. And it’s time your government did the same.” Then he comes out with a budget containing the largest deficit in history?

Washington is becoming more and more like “Las Vegas” every day, the problem being that we are loosing our money without any of the fun, and that truly and absolutely sucks.

To quote one of my favorite bands, Nightwish…

“How blind can you be, don’t you see, that the gambler lost all he does not have”

…those in Washington will be long gone when it hits the fan with Obama’s economic policies. The guy does’nt get it, & I wonder if he really cares.

I hate to be contrary just for the sake of being contrary, but I am itching to go to Vegas, just because he despises the place. Penn from Penn and Teller made it clear that it is easy to dump on Vegas, but even though I am sure Vegas will be okay, Vegas main and pretty much only source of income is tourism. It is very irresponsible for a President to make such comments about a city in the country that he leads. Making it harder for people to live, because he disagrees with the culture of the city is troubling, considering he as President should be looking out for people.

Obama is so condescending it makes me want to puke. I wish Las Vegas could file suit for defamation.
