Megyn Kelly Grills NY Times Op-Ed Author Who Wrote That U.S. Should ‘Give Up’ On Constitution: Hey this guy seems kind of nice. Which is why we want to keep the Constitution around for him as well as ourselves. We’d hate to see how he’d do under a government that wasn’t so greatly limited by that 13th Amendment of ours.

I don’t care if “he seems kind of nice”. Anyone who thinks getting rid of our constitution is an idiot.

Actually, I expected someone who is for elimination of the Constitution to be much more of an idiot. I agree that we should be able to stand up for what we believe in NOW, as he says. And I believe we should NOW affirm the original Constitution. It’s just fine, and there’s no reason to change it. I don’t have a problem with AFFIRMING it’s relevance in modern times.

Jeffrey Dahmer was nice too, before he killed, cooked and ate you.

Now that one, I’m stealing, with credits of course. Short, sweet and how can anybody argue with that? “Jeffrey Dahmer was nice too…”

I couldn’t watch the whole thing. What a blowhard. Yet another Ivory Tower idiot lawyer who has such a high opinion of himself that he KNOWS he and his ilk should decide all. Always the reference to this document being old and outdated – he said written by people long dead. Someone should enlighten Einstein here that the Constitution was written with the idea of limiting tyrannical government behavior that is a constant of human nature. The people that crafted this protection are of course dead, but human nature is still the same as in 1776, or even as it was 10,000 years ago. The conversations involved in the evolution of this document are readily available to even smarmy lawyers to read. The founders drew from all human experience to build in protections against government tyranny. these ideals are admired by free people world wide. And yet simpletons like this nice guy would gladly trade this gift of the ages just to have their fingerprints instead on the face of government. The constitution protects WE THE PEOPLE, and we the people like it. Lefty control freaks, not so much.

Megyn Kelly made such an idiot out of herself after the Sandy Hook event when she interviewed that weird-ass liar Gene Rosen, who told the BS tale about bringing scared kids into his house. She questioned NOTHING in his clearly made-up yarn and she looked nothing like a journalist – which also showed just how easily the media are manipulated and willing to be snookered.

This video helps to redeem her.

…A bit.

It’s going to be a long walk back for me to respect her again, but this was the first small step.

Wow! For real? I didn’t know that! That is so awful, someone truly needs to get fired over that because those people are booked, but yeah if she didn’t ask probative questions that was bad. Well she is a lawyer turned tv news anchor, not sure if we can say that she is a journalist per se… not excusing her but in any case as a lawyer in the end she has no real excuse I suppose.

Yes, a lawyer should certainly know how to ask questions – such as…

“Mr. Rosen, that’s interesting that you brought those kids into your house. Tell me, why didn’t you call the police?”

“You say there were two adults with them. Why have they vanished from your story?”

“Why did neither of these mystery adults have a phone?”

“Why did the adults tell you ‘there’s been an incident at the school’ but then you say it was the children who told you the details a half an hour later?”

“Why, if there had been an incident at the school, did those taking charge of the children bring them to your yard (and then into a stranger’s house) and not just stop at the fire station next door?”

I could do this all night. She couldn’t do it for thirty seconds.

It was disgusting watching the once great Megyn Kelly sit there and “ache” and simper and refrain from doing her damned job.

No, she should still do her job. But if nobody on TV is going to act like a journalist, at least she’s nice to look at.

The Constitution was DESIGNED to be somewhat difficult to amend, so that stupid fly by night crackpot theories were less likely to get amended into the document. In Texas, the Constitution is a zillion pages long and nearly every law has resulted in an ammendment. Its a hot mess. So I am glad that the US Constitution is concise, and is an open framework to work within. The amendments conver situations that are not clearly covered in the original dociument, and are designed to clarify citizen rights. This guy is an idiot. If there is something that the ENTIRE country agrees needs to be changed, it can be amended. The amendment process protects the majority from narrow, minority desires and agendas. Thats why the left want it changed. They have more of a problem forcing their views on the rest of the populace because of the Constitiution.
