Where did MSNBC find a shot of angry Ed Schultz actually smiling?
“Just give Ed Schultz time,” they said at MSNBC. “We’re happy with the numbers for his premiere show. It will build over time.”
Now that the EdShow’s been on the air for a full month, let’s review how angry Eddie’s audience is building.
Uh-oh. Look at that. Schultz is sheddding viewers faster than a snake shedding its skin. And, yes, the comparison was intentional and apt.
The EdShow premiered amid great hype and hoopla on Monday, April 6. It drew a total audience of 725,000 viewers and 247,000 in the coveted Adults 25-54 demographic.
Four weeks later, Monday, May 4, the EdShow had a total audience of just 531,000 and the Adult 25-54 demo has shriveled to just 161,000.
Believe it or not, that’s an improvement. Ed’s audience has been as low as 365,000 per night and the Adults 25-54 demographic once fell to only 75,000.
To make matters even worse, Ed’s ratings are no better than David Schuster garnered on his last night in the same time slot. Shuster’s total audience was larger at 579,000 compared to the EdShow’s 531,000. Shuster’s Adults 25-54 demographic was 153,000 compared to the EdShow’s 161,000. This has to be a huge disappointment to MSNBC after all the time and money they invested in the EdShow.
Would someone please put a mirror under Big Eddie’s nose? Find out if he’s still breathing. Because his show is dead.

That is so funny. The picture of theEDshow.
So its ratings are similar to erectile disfunction…..
The republican party needs to re-frame from using the word racism as they attempt to discredit Judge Sotomayor. They should be more sensitive to those americans who really experienced racism. When I see a confederate flag I think about racism. When I hear A white man with A southern accent I think about racism. As we are all painfully aware, blacks were enslaved for over 4 hundred years and suffered Jim crow for more than 100 hundred years after being so called freed. It is hurtful to me as an african-American to hear them use the word racism in such A nonsensical manner.
Ingrid: We’re not quite sure what you’re referring to with your comments. There’s no mention of racism in this Ed Schultz story. If you’re just randomly venting, feel free. We also hate racism. But for God’s sake, Ingrid, it must be terrible going through life feeling racism every time you hear a southern accent. That treads perilously close reverse racism. My family didn’t come to America until the 1890s. The other IHateTheMedia.com partner is the son of a post WWII immigrant. The vast majority of Americans are the descendants of people who came here after the Civil War. That means most Americans had absolutely nothing to do with slavery, including those with Southern accents.
Here’s a quote from Wikipedia: “Twelve million Africans were shipped to the Americas from the 16th to the 19th centuries. Of these, an estimated 645,000 were brought to what is now the United States. The largest number were shipped to Brazil (see slavery in Brazil). The slave population in the United States had grown to four million by the 1860 Census.”
And not to nitpick, but blacks weren’t enslaved for 400 years in this country. The first slave wasn’t brought to the Americas until 1619. Slavery was outlawed 250 years later. Yes, it’s a dark, dark stain on American history. But no darker than the stain on virtually all the nations in the Americas AND the African nations that sold their own people and enemies into slavery.
We sincerely hope you live long enough to feel comfortable and safe in your own country.
A couple of things Ingrid…
First things first, the history of slavery covers a wide area. All races have been enslaved in the millions for lots of reasons, & none of them good. Blacks are not the only group enslaved, & southern whites are not the only group that controled/owned them.
Secondly, slavery is America’s darkest(no pun intended)hour, & as much of a scar as it is on our the body of our nation, America is the only nation who went to war to end slavery. NO other western nation did that. Don’t kid yourself, the Civil War left some scars that are still not healed yet either.
Last, & this ain’t something that many are taught or known, is the fact that many of the African slaves that were sent to the America’s were sold into slavery by other blacks. Yes, it’s true. There were tribes who were at war with other tribes who sold their prisonors into slavery to the scummy English, Dutch, Belgians, Portuguese, French, & Spanish who sent them around the world. Many of them here to the USA.
Slavery is alive & well today in places like Sudan. Not to mention the sex trade, or in forced labor camps. Salvery is immoral, & sadly it’s not going away anytime soon. I believe too many people don’t understand the scope of enslavement in the history of mankind, & I don’t think many want to educate themselves on the subject. I suggest everyone do so.
IF WASINGTON DONT GET HEALTHCARE DONE BY AUG LETS HAVE A WASINGTON TEA PARTY EVERYONE CAN COME AND WE THE PEOPLE WILL GET IT DONE THEY HAVE IT BUT THEY DONT WANT TO SHARE WITH THE US.THATS BULL WE SENT THEM THERE AND WE CAN SEND THEM HOME WERE JUST TO STUPID TO WE JUST KEEP SENDING THE SAME ONES BACK OVER AND OVER WAKE UP AMERICA!

Dear Ed and gang: Obama has done a magnificent job without a doubt. But the game will remain the same because he is still surrounded by the same special interest group of rats and traders that want to see him fail. They are (ELITISTS INTERNATIONAL MONEY MONGERS) with special powerful interest groups, which have no allegiance to this country at all… He needs to find a whole new team, that isn’t related to Bernie Maddoff, Joe Libermutt, John McCainsky or Henry Kissinger. Another no brainer from Einstein Mastermind.
So you want a straight up comand control state? See, the problem is not any of the people you listed, it’s the likes of Andy Stearn, George Soros, & any number of marxists he brought into The White House.
